<strong><u>Job Description<br><br></u></strong><strong>Resident Engineer – Landscape <br><br></strong><strong>Dubai, UAE <br><br></strong>Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented <strong>Resident Engineer – Landscape </strong>to join our team! In this role you will get to<strong> manage all on-site field construction activities of major projects, often involving multiple units. <br><br></strong><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing<br></u></strong><ul><li>Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. </li><li>Identifies and documents changes in project scope. </li><li>Determines the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for technical aspects of the contract and monitors progress. </li><li>Interfaces with Procurement and Subcontracts to facilitate procurement coordination with vendors/subcontractors. </li><li>Participates in bid analysis to help determine supplier availability and capability. </li><li>Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable. </li><li>Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of assigned technical personnel, and makes reassignments as project needs arise. </li><li>Conducts performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, and recommends salary actions</li><li>Provides training and development opportunities for assigned personnel. </li><li>Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project, as well as the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.</li><li>Assists the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study. </li><li>Participates in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project. </li><li>Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines. </li><li>Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager. </li><li>Prepares technical reports, project manuals, and documentation of activity for the client and project management. </li><li>Acts as Project Manager’s deputy for certain activities, such as attending meetings in his/her absence, etc. </li><li>Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines. </li><li>Reviews and approves change orders. </li><li>Notifies project management and other affected personnel of all changes. </li><li>Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. <br><br></li></ul><strong><u>What Required Skills You’ll Bring<br></u></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in civil/agricultural or architectural Engineering</li><li>Minimum 10 years experience in construction of landscape, irrigation, softscape and streetscape, parks etc.</li><li>Knowledge of Dubai authorities requirements.</li><li>Broad general engineering background, and landscape project engineering experience is required.</li><li>Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction related processes, as well as industry practices. </li><li>Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the proven ability for performing in a supervisory capacity on a project.<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>Minimum Clearance Required To Start<br><br></u></strong>Not Applicable/None<br><br>Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
