Join us and let’s get started.<br> <br><strong>Job Description<br></strong> <br><strong>Job Summary<br></strong> <br>Reporting to the Director of Supervision/ Project Director the Resident Engineer will lead AECOM’s Construction Supervision scope of services and act as the client’s main point of contact advising on all engineering and contractual matters related to the project as per the contracted scope of work.<br> <br><strong>Job Duties<br></strong> <ul><li>Leads the delivery (time, cost, quality) of assigned package.</li> <li>Supervise the contractors to ensure the works are constructed as per specification and to established milestone dates.</li> <li>Manage and direct the supervision team to undertake day to day inspections of the works.</li> <li>Maintain a very high level of Safety awareness and ensure the contractor complies with his obligations.</li> <li>Capable of administering the FIDIC based contract or standalone Contracts</li> <li>Resolves site issues</li> <li>Presents progress and package issues to client team.</li> <li>Discuss changes to the scope of work with the Client and key subcontractors.</li> <li>Responsible for following up on instructions &amp; commitments associated with the project</li> <li>Establishes Project Execution Plan, Health &amp; Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan and other documents in relation to our scope</li> <li>Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors site staff performance</li> <li>Plans, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the project and the site team</li> <li>Assigns responsibility to key subordinates in their respective fields of expertise</li> <li>Provides input to performance reviews and develop plans for subordinates</li> <li>Work with other managers, project engineers and discipline Heads to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of the project</li> <li>Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activities within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions, which would affect project cost, schedule, performance or Client relation</li> <li>Establishes internal weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items</li> <li>Performs other responsibilities associated with this position in line with AECOM policies and procedures</li> <li>Represent the company in Client meetings.</li> <li>Monitor Health and Safety of the construction works and lead to address violations</li> <br></ul><strong>Specific Skills Required<br></strong> <br>Residential Horizontal Development / High-Rise buildings experience required with strong background in start-up, execution and handover of major projects.<br> <br><strong>Person Specification</strong> <strong>(Behavioral Attributes)<br></strong> <ul><li>Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities</li> <li>Be commercially aware</li> <li>Holds high work ethics and dedication</li> <li>Be able to lead and motivate a team of Engineers</li> <li>Client focus, ability to engage in discussions with high profile clients</li> <li>Good team player with high energy levels.</li> <li>Should be a problem solver and able to facilitate staff related issues and or conflicts</li> <li>Safety conscious with demonstrated leadership in driving Health and Safety on projects</li> <br></ul><strong>Qualifications<br></strong> <br><strong>Qualification<br></strong> <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil or Architectural Engineering) with 25 years of experience in complex projects and 10 of them are in residential projects.</li> <li>PMP, plus membership of a recognized professional institution preferred.</li> <br></ul><strong>Experience<br></strong> <ul><li>Minimum 20 years of related senior construction supervision/management experience in Building and Construction of residential projects plus 5 years in a senior-related technical position with a broad general engineering background.</li> <br></ul><strong>Additional Information<br></strong> <br>With infrastructure investment accelerating worldwide, our services are in great demand, and there’s never been a better time to be at AECOM!
