The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications from individuals for Research or Post-Doctoral Associate. The successful candidates will be required to join the research group of Prof. Mahmoud Rasras in the area of Silicon Photonics and Plasmonics.<br><br><strong><u>Required Qualification<br></u></strong><ul><li>Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field</li><li>Modeling and Simulation using Lumerical tools (mode, device, FDTD, interconnect)</li><li>Tape out experience using various MPW offerings ( IME, GF…)</li><li>Design and operation of optical systems and experimental setup</li><li>Knowledge in Plasmonics is a plus </li><li>Familiarity with standard characterization methods, including TEM, SEM, Optical Spectroscopy…<br></li></ul>The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists and engineers. The anticipated appointment is expected to last for a minimum of two years, with a possibility of extension based on performance.<br><br>The salary is dependent upon qualifications.
