The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Research Associate to join the Traffic Flow Dynamics and Computations group under the supervision of Professor Saif Eddin Jabari. The group focuses on theoretical aspects of traffic and transportation systems, and the development and analysis of novel machine learning methods for the natural sciences.<br><br>We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with a strong background in applied mathematics, machine learning, and physical modeling. The successful candidate will work with a team of researchers to develop innovative machine learning algorithms for transportation systems, and investigate new data-driven approaches for transportation modeling. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with demonstrable expertise in machine learning.<br><br>The terms of employment are very competitive and include a flexible working environment, annual home-leave travel allowance, generous housing and relocation benefits, medical insurance with access to world-class facilities, as well as educational subsidies for children. The Research Associate will have dedicated funds for traveling, computing, publications, and access to excellent world-class research facilities.
