<strong><u>A Particular Emphasis Will Be Put On The Followings<br><br></u></strong>The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), seeks to recruit a motivated and passionate Research Assistant to work under the guidance of Professor Pierre Youssef on interdisciplinary subjects bridging the fields of Computer Science and Mathematics. The topics include Mathematical Foundations of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.<br><ul><li>Feature selection algorithms for Machine Learning based on recent sparsification techniques,</li><li>Mathematical modeling of Bias and Fairness in AI algorithms</li><li>Applications of Random Matrices/Graphs and concentration/functional inequalities in Data Science and Machine Learning.<br></li></ul>The Research Assistant will be appointed for a duration of one semester, which could be extended. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or any other related field. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematical background as well as knowledge of machine learning and data science. Excellent English communication skills, the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential.<br><br>This position will be based at New York University in Abu Dhabi, and the candidate must be ready to relocate to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.<br><br>The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children.
