Job Description
Position Overview<br>· Conducting literature reviews: Research assistant may be responsible for reviewing and summarizing existing literature on blockchain technology, including academic papers, industry reports, and relevant publications. This helps in building a strong foundation of knowledge for the project.<br>· Data collection and analysis: Research assistant may be involved in collecting data related to blockchain technology, such as transaction records, smart contracts, or network metrics. He/she can also assist in analyzing and interpreting the collected data using appropriate statistical or computational techniques.<br>· Software development and implementation: In some cases, research assistant with programming skills will be involved in developing software tools or prototypes related to blockchain applications. This could include coding smart contracts, building blockchain networks, or implementing security measures.<br>· Collaborating with the research team: Research assistant often work closely with the project’s principal investigator and other team members. He/she will contribute to team discussions, provide input on research strategies, and collaborate on various aspects of the project to ensure its success.<br>Position Requirements<br>The core responsibilities of the research assistant are to develop blockchain-based secure and sustainable solutions for edge computing to work seamlessly in adversarial environments. This includes novel blockchain consensus development for resource constraint devices, privacy-aware blockchain with user access control, and machine learning-based context-aware solutions for blockchain processes. The project also includes developing the in-lab testbed and prototype at the end of the project. Within this project, the main role includes:<br>· Design research projects and alternative approaches and discuss results with the line manager of the project.<br>· Maintain accurate records of research findings and provide statistical analysis of data results.<br>· Contribute to and actively participate in research conception, design, and execution to address defined problems.<br>· Develop unique research methodologies for blockchain-based secure solutions for edge computing solutions.<br>· Create and execute scenarios for analysis projects and interpret results to address relevant questions.<br>· Liaise with line manager to review grants and manuscripts to develop research projects.<br>· Pursue independent and complementary research interests to achieve project objectives.<br><br><br>Candidate Profile
