<p><span>The research team is working on developing a novel robotic system that will require hardware and software. The following shows the postdoc responsibilities and needed qualifications.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>While working together in the research team, the research associate will focus more on <em>supporting</em> the development of the robot prototype, which could include, but is not limited to, the following activities:</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Procuring the required components and materials</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Preparing/refining drawings/CAD models for fabrication</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Working side by side with the internal/external fabrication workshop</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assembly, disassembly, and installation work during the prototyping</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Supporting the testing/experiments</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Has a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with experience.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Has CAD skills (Creo, Solidworks, etc.), including modeling and drawing preparation.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Has knowledge and decent experience in mechatronics/robotics prototyping, including fabrication, assembly/installation, and testing processes.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Has basic knowledge and basic hands-on experience in electronics work.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Hands-on experience in underwater robotics/mechatronics systems is preferred.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;MATLAB/Simulink and CAE skills (such as FEA) are bonuses.</p><p>If qualified and interested, please email your CV to bashar.khasawneh@ku.ac.ae</p><p><br></p>
