<strong><u>Title</u></strong><p><br></p>Reliability Engineer<p><br></p>Analyzes product failures for root causes, proposes corrective actions, prepares failure and analysis report and maintains reliability control database on product success/failure history. Utilizes statistical methods such as linear regression and standard deviation to evaluate compliance with reliability numerical requirements. Participates in design reviews of new products and continues review of proposed changes affecting product baseline data. Prepares reliability section of technical proposals, including manpower estimates and scheduling. Reviews preliminary reports and waivers, deviations and engineering change proposals for compliance with contractual requirements Recognized as an expert within Group. Anticipates internal and or external (Industry) business challenges and/or regulatory/ compliance issues; recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems. Contributes to the development of job family or Group strategy. Mentors and advises project teams to achieve milestones and objectives. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirements. Due to the complexity and uniqueness of the required skill set there are generally fewer incumbents at this level. Regarded as the technical expert in their particular discipline. Requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the job family. Anticipates customer and industry issues; recommends product, process or service improvements. Mentors and advises team members on projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution. Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions. Impacts the direction and resource allocation for program, project or services; works within general Divisional/Group policies and industry guidelines. Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to influence decisions. May have formal, but limited, supervision of team members at a Department level to include verification of time cards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules and input into performance appraisals. May have resource responsibility such as staffing levels and budgets. May be the primary customer contact for assigned area of responsibility. Requires a college or university degree in Engineering. In some disciplines, advanced degree may be a requirement to reach this level. Typically requires 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.<p><br></p><strong>R2071553</strong>
