<p><strong>Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse </strong></p><p><strong>Medical City for Military and Security Services </strong></p><p><strong>Muscat, Sultanate of Oman</strong></p><p> </p><p>The Medical City for Military and Security Services (MCMSS) in Muscat Oman is a Tertiary/Quaternary Care level city providing services to patients of different age groups in different specialties. </p><p> </p><p>MCMSS is seeking to appoint<strong> Registered Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse, </strong>who is a highly motivated individual to develop his/her professional career within the MCMSS. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Education/Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>BSc in Nursing + Post Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Adult Nursing/ CCU + &gt; 3 years’ experience in the area of specialty.</li><li>BSc in Nursing + &gt; 5 years’ experience in the area of specialty.</li><li>Valid BLS + ACLS.</li><li>Current and clean medical license to practice in country of origin/ country of practice.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Experience Post-Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Specialized ICU/ CCU Nurse + &gt; 3 years.</li><li>Non-specialized + &gt; 5 years.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Job Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care plans.</li><li>Monitors patient’s vital signs and initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptoms.</li><li>Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications; and reports adverse reactions to medications.</li><li>Provides high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients and maintain accurate and an up-to-date nursing records.</li><li>Assists with the insertion or discontinuation of CV catheters, arterial lines, epidural catheters and endotracheal tubes.</li><li>Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators, ECG, ABG and analyses lab results. </li><li>Involves in education and teaching of patients and caregivers.</li><li>Participates in health education programs through orientation and scientific presentations.</li><li>Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of MCMSS.</li><li>Performs all duties assigned to his/her designation. </li><li>Performs all relevant interventions related to his/her field of specialization.</li><li>Completes and maintains his/her set of clinical privileges.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the chairperson/ head of the department. </li></ul><p> </p><p>Salary will be based upon qualification, experience and availability of vacancy, using Oman Medical Bylaw.</p><p> </p><p>Interested candidates should apply with CV and letter of interest via the <strong>APPLY</strong> button.</p><p></p>
