The Position

As a Regional Medical Advisor, you will be responsible for providing regional medical and scientific support for doctors, other healthcare professionals, and colleagues in support of business opportunities and strategic objectives taking into account short-, medium-, and long-term local business needs in the cardiovascular diseases area.

To establish leadership in the Cardiovascular area and access to Novo Nordisk (NN) products in Saudi Arabia through providing quality medical and scientific support to clinicians (mainly influencers), and other healthcare professionals (HCPs – nurses, pharmacists, etc.) 

The main outcome of the job is to ensure KOLs, and specialists are aware of and understand the scientific basis for and clinical usefulness of our compounds within cardiovascular diseases.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Build and update scientific and medical knowledge about the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk products, dedicating time to searching for relevant information about new developments and competitors’ products.
  • Apply and disseminate knowledge and use of scientific/clinical expertise with internal and external stakeholders as a result of a comprehensive analysis of their needs, aiming to improve overall patient outcomes.
  • Identify, list, and communicate with KOLs and HCPs in the practice setting (e.g., academic centres, investigators, ISSs research site) to update their understanding of relevant data in each context, as well as to build and maintain relationships to facilitate scientific exchange.
  • Develop professional relationships with key internal stakeholders and external one to anticipate their needs and provide them with value-adding solutions involving Novo Nordisk products.
  • Help to coordinate POA meetings and internal training for internal stakeholders, ensuring successful implementation.

 

Qualifications

We require you to have 1-2 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry in the medical affairs department. It’s expected to hold a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Medicine. You have excellent command over both written and spoken English and Arabic, and a willingness to travel inside Saudi Arabia.

To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have:

  • Computer skills required (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows).
  • Experience in dealing with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, including presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Experience in Cardiovascular diseases is preferable.
