As a Regional Corporate Communications and CSR Manager, you will be responsible for all facets of external press and public relations for Qatar Airways and its subsidiaries, as well as working with key stakeholders for internal communications. You will also be responsible for executing and managing corporate communications’ activities at the region and across the global network, ensuring the communications strategy is delivered with effective and streamlined messaging in that is aligned to QR business strategy<p><br></p><strong><u>Other Key Responsibilities Are</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Managing and approving translation of documents such as press releases, social media posts, annual report and news articles from Arabic to English and vice-versa.</li><li>Managing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activations within assigned region and in Qatar, and build relationships with local and international charities.</li><li>Implementation and execution of Qatar Airways’ corporate communications strategy within the regions to ensure public relations is handled as per QR guidelines.</li><li>Selection, management and monitoring of PR agencies performance across the network by liaising with PR agencies, local marketing and management team on local strategy, PR opportunities and media-related activities. Write press releases for global/regional dissemination and speeches for the CEO and senior management for media-related events and workshops in the regions to ensure the brand presence.</li><li>Handle media enquiries in a timely manner, and maintain contacts with journalists to generate positive press coverage, coordination with CEO and/or other senior representatives/management.</li><li>Support QR events team in the region with written collateral such as MC scripts, arrangements for media briefings and other press-related activities for inaugurals, exhibitions and special projects etc.</li><li>Conduct regular exchange of information with media by ensuring key messaging is disseminated to generate positive media coverage at all times.</li><li>Prepare and manage media Q&amp;A’s and editorials for CEO and/or other senior representatives/management. Prepare senior management presentations for press conferences as and when required.</li><li>Support media requests about the airline and its subsidiaries by prepare written statements for the media on the company’s behalf.</li><li>Responsible for keeping press material up-to-date, feeding information on a pro-active basis to the media and company stakeholders.</li><li>Identify positive PR story ideas/angles to promote the airline and its subsidiaries to drive publicity, which in turn helps the commercial department to drive increased revenues and profitability.</li><li>Plan, develop and maintain a range of integrated communications tools and to provide advice and support to Internal Communication department and management across the organization.</li><li>Engage in the airline’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program by working with the department head on developing press material relating to CSR activities.</li><li>Work on press element of route launches, arrange and escort media familiarization trips when required. A successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:<p><br></p><ul><li>Minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.</li><li>8+ years of job-related experience</li><li>Press Office or Media experience is essential</li><li>Solid understanding of the news media landscape, function of a press office and needs of PR</li><li>Fluency or Strong command of English and Arabic languages (Written and Verbal)</li><li>Advanced levels of project management and prioritization skills</li><li>Aviation experience, Tourism Experience is a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>About Qatar Airways Group</u></strong><p><br></p>Our story started with four aircraft.
