Role Purpose

The Receiving Control Manager is responsibilities include managing, organizing, and monitoring all incoming goods and shipments of an organization. You will oversee the movement of goods from the supplier to the warehouse, and from the warehouse to Restaurants. Your primary aim is to ensure the timely and accurate recording of all incoming goods and to minimize the risk of theft, spoilage, or damage.

Accountabilities

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for receiving goods, managing inventory, and monitoring stock levels.
  • Ensuring all incoming goods are checked and documented according to the company’s policy and procedures and that any discrepancies are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinating with the operations teams to ensure that goods are delivered on time and in the correct quantities.
  • Managing the organization’s receiving and distribution logistics, including coordinating transportation and scheduling deliveries.
  • Monitoring and analyzing inventory levels to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, Restaurants, General Managers and other stakeholders to ensure successful deliveries and smooth operations.
  • Ensuring that all procedures and processes comply with relevant regulatory and legal requirements.

Job holder accountabilities are not limited to the above mentioned, the line manager can assign additional responsibilities when required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Experience

  • 5-8 years Supervisory role experience in receiving, inventory management.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
