The team you’ll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

 Customer Services (CS) covers customer service in different areas such as technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design / deployment / integration / transformation, and education. Generates revenue and the increase of customer satisfaction through planning, designing, deploying, integrating, optimizing, operating, and maintaining phases.

NW Design & Optimization (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimization and / or managing of the optimization of customer networks. Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities (address surveys, site surveys, design and as-built) for deployment projects

 

What you will learn and contribute to

The Performance & Optimization Specialist performs solution monitoring, data collection, generation of daily / weekly reports, and a first level of analysis and problem identification in a domain of the customer solution (radio, access, core, application). Performs optimization in terms of capacity, architecture, performance, analyses counters, and metrics on current capacity and usage. Forecasts traffic patterns to evaluate impact on current and future architecture. Recommends parameters tuning and design evolutions.

• Works with substantial discretion and uses specialist knowledge, analytical skills, judgment and broad conceptual and practical experience to solve complex problems and to contribute to process improvements.

• Transfers concepts for professional direction of own organizational unit into actionable measures.

• Provides working leadership and training to less experienced personnel.

• May lead small projects with limited risks and resource requirements.

• Provides optimization support to assist customers in network rollout / modernization independently.

 

Your skills and experience

 

 You have:

  • Established skills and knowledge of theory and principles of Network Performance & Optimization.
  • Ability to use functionally specific knowledge.
  • 3-5 years directly related experience and
  • a graduate equivalent degree.
