Job Description

The Quality Assurance team at TransPerfect is responsible for validating all development work of our key applications prior to implementation. Additionally, the QA teams creates and maintains the framework for all testing manual and automated testing and conducts all performance testing.

The QA Analyst will be responsible for analyzing requirements, user stories, and design documentation to ensure that they are clearly defined, thorough, documented and testable. The QA Analyst will be responsible for the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify new and existing software functionality as well as the requirements for performance testing. The QA Analyst will test the applications using Unit Tests, Functional Tests, Performance Tests and Integration Testing using a number of testing methods including Black Box, Regression, Release, Stress, and Negative testing where applicable. The ideal candidate will contribute both to the definition and the enforcement of quality assurance processes and procedures based on best practice methodology and should be able to communicate results to business unit stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements from business analyst and key stake holders and translate to testing requirements
  • Write test scenarios based on requirements.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to create test cases and test plans.
  • Employ a variety of manual testing methods such as functional, regression, end-to-end, usability, and smoke-testing.
  • Execute test cases and interpret testing results
  • Find, document, and track bugs through to resolution.
  • Create detailed and reproducible defect tickets that include steps to re-create and clear description of actual vs. expected results.
  • Develop metrics to monitor testing efficiency
  • Exercise thoughtful planning to execute testing and balance competing priorities within business-driven deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to keep them informed of issues and escalate concerns promptly.

Skill, Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software quality assurance and manual testing preferred.
  • Strong communication (oral & written) skills and ability to communicate effectively with business and technical teams.
  • High standards for accuracy and work quality.
  • Ability to take ownership, balance competing priorities, and work under pressure to meet deadlines on time.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience executing automation testing scripts is desirable
