Roles & Responsbilities

  • Participate with the head of procurement and contract in selecting the most appropriate offers in terms of technical and commercial conditions.
  • Review budgetary cost and advice for all work elements of the project.
  • Verify and approve all quantities take off before communicating with other departments.
  • Review in-house invoices.
  • Review invoice payments for the project & sub-contractors in order to finalize any financial issues.
  • Prepare in-house invoices for the direct labors and make sure that is matching with project budget without any cost overrun.
  • Supervise a group of Q.S. Engineers and ensure their efficiency.
  • Survey quantities through project’s shop drawing and owner/consultant BOQ and any additional resources.
  • Prepare owner’s invoices.
  • Maintain the project Cash Flow.
  • Review with consultant/client the invoicing cycle and make the invoicing log to ensure the collected cash are met the contract requirements.
  • Participate in variation analysis with the subcontractors to reach the deal and decide claims prices.
  • Supervise the quantity surveying process through project’s shop drawing and owner/consultant BOQ any additional resources.
  • Prepare the escalation formula invoice.
  • Participate with the Head of Procurement and Contracts in selecting the most appropriate offers in terms of appropriate conditions of supply and best prices.
  • Review local purchase and external purchase lists and sent them to the procurement and contracts department for implementation.
  • Survey quantities for all actual executed items.
  • To prepare the project breakdown for lump sum items/projects according to tender study and client requirement for invoicing purpose.
  • Survey quantities of new claims or any variation as per the owner request in order to decide on the payment.
  • To estimate the project quantity and get a preliminary approval from clients related to the different activities to ensure the invoicing cycle are performed on time.
  • Review the scheduled BOQ based on site progress.
  • Assist in preparing the final BOQ/invoice of the project.
  • Participate in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims.
  • Provide control department with the updated quantities related to the project and attend the frequent meeting to ensure the PFR are matching the project Quantity.
  • Perform cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work

  • Bachelor Degree of Engineering
  • 12+ Years of experience
  • 4+ Years of experience in similar positions
  • Previous work experience in construction field is a must
  • Excellent/V. Good English (written and spoken)
  • AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit is a must
