– Lead and supervise a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
– Manage logistics to achieve seamless and cost-effective solutions.
– Liaise with regulatory authorities like excise and customs, etc. to obtain necessary clearances / sanctions and ensuring compliance with various statutory obligations.
– Actively involved in interacting with banks for opening LCs, demand draft, etc. to facilitate smooth import operations.
– Coordinates with customs clearance agents, freight forwarders and domestic logistics for smooth functioning.
– Prepares the SOPs for the process of imports and working on time schedules and budgetary requirements, advising and assisting the senior management regarding the store inventory and stock room management, provide shipment statistics and delivery schedule.
– Sustains the existing network and manages the supply chain.
– Monitors stock availability, making appropriate arrangements to ensure on time deliveries.
– Interacts with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, interacting with companies for sea/air/road transport.
– Handles all customers (internal and external) issues related to imports and forwarding.
– Communicate & orient the team with the Purchasing and Logistics policies & strategies to ensure that the team is abiding to the rules & regulations.
– Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
– Prepare on-demand reports for company’s internal stakeholders.
