SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Manage and execute operational purchasing tasks as delegated by the Purchasing Manager in line with Group Purchasing (GP) policies, principles, guidelines and procedures for Indirect Materials (IM) in close cooperation with local stakeholders and GP, in support of the company’s business targets.

Responsibilities: •Identify and plan the requirement for designated IM categories based on close dialogue with relevant user departments
•Source, select and approve suppliers for designated IM categories in close cooperation with relevant user departments (including supplier audits when relevant)
•Support user departments in ensuring optimal IM specifications are in place
•Ensure best possible agreements for designated IM categories, according to the purchasing objectives, by following the Tactical Purchasing Process and utilizing relevant contract formats (including frame agreements etc)
•Implement and follow up global or regional agreements as and when relevant for the company
•Place and follow up orders in Matrix based on agreements/contracts when relevant
•Execute invoice control according to company guidelines
•Implement the Category Management Concept for selected IM categories
•Report on agreed KPIs to Purchasing Manager

  • we’re looking for a potential collaborative, Enthusiastic Candidate who has the ability/interested to identify market sourcing spots and make efficient Purchase decisions fulfilling the needs for the internal customers’ requests while implementing the company’s Purchasing process aligning with the policies and objectives.

Required: 

  • 1-2 Years of Experience in Purchasing field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Fluency in English Language (Both Verbal & Written).
  • Skilled user of the MS office package
  • Respects policies and procedures.

Preferred: 

  • Acts on own initiative and take responsibility for own duties.
  • Works well in a team.
  • Proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks.
  • Sees tasks and projects through to completion.  
  • Networking & Negotiations Skills.
