Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

Kitchen Porter

This Security Supervisor supports the Assistant Security Manager/Security Manager and actively participates in and oversees the day-to-day security operations of the waterpark.

What you will be doing:

– Check dishwashing machines thoroughly to see if detergents for the machine needs to be replenished
– Send all soiled towels to the laundry and dry them
– Assist in polishing silver and copperware
– Keep work area clean, tidy and dry at all times
– Wash dishes as requested by the Steward Supervisor when there is a Banquet event
– Ensure that water in the dishwashing machine is maintained at a constant level/temperature and must be changed once every 2 hours
– Observe correct procedures in handling machinery. Put on rubber gloves, wear an apron and hair net should when operating machines.
– Ensure that a decoy system must be set up before all soiled dishes are brought into the kitchen from the outlet. A container of detergent must be prepared in advance for soaking of cutleries
– Report to Steward Supervisor when any equipment/machinery is damaged, faulty or misused
– Clean heavy-duty equipment, sweep and lay down detergent at back of kitchen.
– The storage and disposal of waste in accordance with the hygiene policies and Hotel practice.
– Efficient cleaning of kitchen premises and equipment, pots, pans etc. to meet the hospitality industry standards.
– Developing and / or following cleaning schedules.
– Maintaining and creating a strong commitment to a team atmosphere.
– Taking extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance at all times.
– Being punctual, efficient, and courteous with guests and fellow employees at all times.
