Proposal Specialist

Job Description

<p>We are looking for an ambitious and hard-working individual to join our Business Development &amp; Bids Unit. In this cross-functional role, you will work with colleagues from different teams (engineering, finance, etc.) at all stages of the proposal preparation. You will evolve in a fast-paced environment, and will be exposed to a wide variety of geographies, international financing institutions, and engineering sectors.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Responsibilities and Duties:</u></p><ul><li>Assist with expanding the market for Libanconsult core services</li><li>Help acquire new clients</li><li>Focus on growing existing accounts</li><li>Write proposals and new bids</li><li>Help with the pricing strategy</li><li>Forge partnerships with companies and organizations with complimentary services or geographies</li><li>Screen and recruit freelance staff and experts for proposals and projects</li><li>Map and monitor sources for request for proposals</li><li>Analyze competition, customers, and markets</li><li>Develop leaflets for past or ongoing projects or services</li><li>Conduct meetings with ‘walk-in’ clients and companies</li><li>Handle incoming inquiries on Libanconsult services</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>Qualification:</u></p><ul><li>University degree is requested</li><li>University degree in engineering, science or mathematics is preferred</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>Experience:</u></p><ul><li>Experience (2-5 years) in analyzing complex data and writing/working on winning proposals</li><li>Business Development experience with donors and partners on large scale projects is preferred</li><li>Experience in engineering sector is preferred</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>Professional Knowledge and Skills:</u></p><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>Personality Profile:</u></p><ul><li>Ability to operate in highly ambiguous context and maintain a systematic and integrated approach</li><li>Ability to work well in a team and on your own</li><li>Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude</li><li>Ability to manage time, projects and expectations</li><li>Ability to handle stress properly and to work under pressure</li><li>A keen eye for aesthetics and a great attention to details</li></ul>
