Our end-to-end project delivery solution is focused on best maximising project outcomes while minimising project risk for our clients.<br><br>We are currently looking for <strong>Projects Control Officer</strong> with a demonstrated experience in the management of large-scale projects.<br><br><strong><u>Roles And Responsibilities<br><br></u></strong>The Projects Control Officer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Leads a team of professional planners and scheduled to establish the baseline schedule.</li><li>Evaluate current procedures to create more efficient / cost effective management of resources in the following areas:</li><ul><li>Procurement</li><li>Change orders</li><li>Document Control and Administrative Practices</li><li>Invoicing and Accounting</li><li>Programme Close Out</li><li>EOT / Dispute Resolution</li></ul><li>Monitors, analyses & reports on project performance using qualitative and quantitative tools.</li><li>Recommends and implements modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.</li><li>Plans, coordinates and monitors activities of assigned projects to develop and implement procedures, processes and systems.</li><li>Setting-up Primavera Project Management System P6 (latest version) for program management across the planning team with all stakeholders.</li><li>Reviews and updates Project Management Plans relevant to Project Controls.</li><li>Supports in preparing and maintaining the master programme for the project.</li><li>Review and analyse data/schedule received from the other organisations (Designers, PMCs, and Contractors).</li><li>Plans and provides direction as required for the preparation of planning and scheduling control systems.</li><li>Works with other functions such as Procurement, Technical, Logistic relating to understand their requirement and provide direction to project control team.</li><li>Assisting in the consultant selection process for commercial and technical evaluation.</li><li>Assisting in establishing / delivering formal reporting arrangements on project progress for the client and project.</li><li>Reviewing contract documents, suggesting changes for planning and programming aspects and the addition of new clauses if necessary.</li><li>Arranging planning workshops/meetings to discuss and assist contractors / consultants to close their planning / project control issues.</li><li>Prepares what if scenarios for different types of project schedules to support the Client.</li><li>Review and Analyse any claims and EOT requests.</li><li>Conduct benchmarking data collection analysis for similar projects (buildings and infrastructure).</li><li>Makes recommendations for possible acceleration to the schedule.</li><li>Assist in developing the document control system and communication flow for the project.</li><li>Reviewing Schedule construction programmes received from contractors and analysing them in line with the contractual requirements.</li><li>Preparing progress presentations for the clients.</li><li>Developing weekly and monthly progress report protocols / templates for progress reporting and monitoring progress against it.</li><li>Assist in risk assessment and mitigation plans.</li><li>Monitoring design, procurement and construction progress for compliance with contract requirements.</li><li>Provide effective support for the projects in Oman. Identify projects area of concerns, analyze project schedule defects, recommend action plans, advice corrective action to the schedule paths that leads to more control and enhance project performance.</li><li>Analyse Program / Project Risks and advise the client of any schedule issues that will affect the contract completion of the projects and ensure minimization of clashes and potential delays</li><li>Assist in preparing the master programme for the projects. Incorporate / Integrate the Contractors program of works into the Master Schedule of works</li><li>Prepare and Provide Program Management Plan (PMP) in consultation with Clients, as a guide to the project teams in performance of their duties; to identify responsibilities and coordinate various actions and procedures into one comprehensive document</li><li>Developing the document control system and communication flow for the projects including details on communication procedures and document control systems.</li><li>Establishing formal reporting protocols / templates on projects.</li><li>Reviewing contract documents, suggesting changes for planning and programming aspects and the addition of new clauses if necessary.</li><li>Reviewing construction programmes received from contractors and analysing them in line with the contractual requirements.</li><li>Analyse Contractor’s Delay Claims to establish the contractually justified extension of time and provide recommendation for the client approval.</li><li>Prepare, review and advise on Stakeholder Management Plan including identification of stakeholders, communication assessment and aligning communication plan in line with master programme<br></li></ul><strong><u>Relevant Qualification<br></u></strong><ul><li>10+ years of experience in project control and schedules including costs and forecasting. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams of client, consultants and contractors on large scale green field infrastructure development projects.</li><li>Must have an undergraduate engineering degree from a reputable university.</li><li>Strong local experience/ candidates familiar with Abudhabi Authority Approvals preferred.</li><li>Experience working in Enabling, Reclamation, Infrastructure, Housing and mixed-use projects.</li><li>Client-side experience managing PMC’s, LDC’s Cost Consultants and other stakeholders.</li><li>Strong experience in PCM of major capital projects.</li><li>Strong Pre-contract experience managing design and procurement activities.</li><li>Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, reporting, and presentation skills.</li><li>Independent worker who can work well with minimal supervision.</li><li>Ability to manage resources within the local Project Control team</li><li>Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills and in the development of project control processes and procedures.</li><li>PMP or other professional certifications.</li><li>Advanced MS Office Suits.</li><li>Experience in using Primavera P6, ACONEX & Oracle suite.</li><li>Sound knowledge of project controls practices, broad knowledge of cost, risk, change and specific knowledge in earned value management</li><li>Extensive knowledge of best reporting practices in the areas of dashboards, and KPIs.<br></li></ul>SNC Lavalin’s Faithful+Gould business is one of the world’s leading integrated project and programme management consultancies, with over 2,400 professionals operating worldwide.<br><br>Our aim is to protect and maximize our clients’ interests throughout the planning and delivery of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget.
