Our focus on sustainability makes sure that the way we produce and use these foods today means a plentiful future of generations to come.<br><br></p> <p>Our evidence-based solutions range in scale from households to global policies and spans across six interlinked themes: nutrition, gender, climate, sustainability, economy and COVID-19.<br><br></p> <p>We champion aquatic foods for healthy people and planet and believe that a sustainable blue planet of well-nourished children, women and men is within our reach.<br><br></p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION<br><br></strong></p> <p>WorldFish seeks to recruit a Project Manager to be responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, executive, control and completion of the project while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the organization. The post holder will focus on:<br><br></p><ul><li>Lead project activities related to planning and implementation.</li></ul><ul> <li>Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.</li> <li>Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.</li> <li>Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.</li> <li>Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.</li> </ul><p><strong>Planning, Reporting and Finance<br><br></strong></p><ul> <li>In consultation with the Project Leader and Accounts Manager, prepare and revise as necessary budgets for project activities. </li> <li>Provide technical project progress reports on a monthly basis, or as otherwise required. </li> <li>Work closely with the project staff to ensure all financial and administrative matters are resolved in a timely manner. </li> <li>In consultation with the Project Leader and the project staff, prepare and revise as necessary work plans and timeframes for all activities. </li> <li>Timely preparation of donor report.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Development of scientific outputs<br><br><br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Together with relevant project staff and partner members, develop scientific outputs that showcase the main outputs and outcomes of the project.</li> </ul><p><strong>Troubleshooting<br><br></strong></p><ul> <li>Resolve administrative and financial issues in consultation with the appropriate project staff relating to implementation of project activities, travel, accommodation, etc. through appropriate channels and report back to the Country Director. </li> <li>Troubleshoot any problems with fieldwork, reporting back to the Country Director.</li> </ul> <p><br><br><br><br><br></p><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><p>This full-time job is for <strong>Egyptian Nationals</strong> with the following skills and qualifications:<br><br></p> <ul> <li>PhD Degree in Development, Aquaculture, Agriculture, or use of renewable energy or related field. </li> <li>5-8 years of project management and related experience.</li> <li>Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be an added advantage.</li> <li>At least five years’ experience in a related position.</li> <li>Very good communication skills and able to engage with technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work well with teams of different levels of professionals and from different disciplines. </li> <li>Excellent planning, organization and time management skills. </li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. </li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. </li> <li>Experience working on similar projects will be an added advantage.</li> <li>Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.</li> <li>Capacity to complete project according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills and Qualifications:<br><br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in digital tools and communications.</li> <li>Knowledge on research ethics and research quality management. </li> <li>Have strong inter-disciplinary, partnership building, and the desire to work in a collaborative environment. </li> <li>Ability to deal with ambiguity while maintaining a strong commitment to delivering results. </li> <li>Resourceful with excellent discretion and sound judgment ability. </li> <li>Facilitating and convening skills and ability to work under pressure.</li> <br><br></ul><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong><p>This is a <strong>Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) </strong>position and WorldFish offers a competitive remuneration package including comprehensive benefits (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, 15% employer provident fund contribution, paid leave and others. The successful candidate should be available to commence as soon as possible for an initial <strong>three (03) years fixed-term contract</strong>, with a high probability of contract renewal depending on performance and funding situation.
