<p><strong>Job Purpose </strong></p><p>This role is an individual contributor to E-PMO enables strategy execution by planning and managing RCU projects and programs throughout the project management lifecycle underpinned by fit to purpose methodology, tools, human resources and reporting.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities </strong></p><p><strong>Functional Responsibilities</strong></p><ol><li>Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gain community support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program delivery</li><li>Coordinate the delivery of services within the program to increase effectiveness and efficiency</li><li>Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program.</li><li>Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement</li><li>Ensure all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards</li><li>Ensure continuous alignment between the program of projects and RCU strategic objectives, as well as departmental goals</li><li>Ensure that all financial records for the individual projects making up the program are up to date</li><li>Ensure that forms and records to document program activities are maintained</li><li>Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards</li><li>Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program and project activities and take appropriate action to control the risks</li><li>Liaise with head of EPMO, Project Portfolio Manager, Strategy and other PMs to ensure delivery or unique goals and reducing rework</li><li>Monitor the program and project activities on a regular basis and conduct periodical evaluation according to the program evaluation framework</li><li>Plan the delivery of the overall program of projects and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of RCU.</li><li>Report evaluation findings to the Portfolio Manager and recommend changes to enhance the projects and programs, as appropriate</li><li>Report on the program progress, as well as individual project progress</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Academic Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Adminstration.</li><li>PMP or Prince2 is required</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Experience</strong></p><p>5+ years of relevant experience in project management with at least 2 years as a Program Manager</p><p><br></p><p>Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred (Infrastructure, Urban Planning, County Zoning, Smart Cities, Arts &amp; Culture, Wildlife &amp; Nature Conservation, Archaeology, Agriculture) </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Other Requirements </strong></p><ul><li>Familiar with transformations, reform programs, and change management</li><li>Expert at project management and has successfully managed large scale programs and projects</li><li>Ability to deal with issues directly, firmly, and in a timely manner; doesn’t allow problems to fester; regularly reviews performance and holds timely discussions</li><li>Demonstrated strong ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)</li><li>Excellent Analytical skills</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented.</li></ul>
