The complexity of the project(s) plan(s) involves the job holder in multiple negotiations at all levels, including where appropriate, external bodies and the need to network across both organizational and international boundaries to achieve project(s) objectives.</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Job Relations</em></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Internal – All departments.</p><p>External – Clients, Agencies &amp; Authorities, Suppliers, Transporters, and Subcontractors.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Reporting to</em></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Executive Vice President (EVP)</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Gender</em></strong></p><p><em>Male/Female</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Level</em></strong></p><p><em>Senior Level</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Industry</em></strong></p><p><em>Construction</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Employment Type</em></strong></p><p><em>Permanent</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Job Functions</em></strong></p><p><em>Infra Structure Projects</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Participates in the development and implementation of project management policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled.</li><li>Manages operations of project management by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.</li><li>Prepares the development of project management budget, and monitors financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment.</li><li>Manages large-scale (mega) projects or several small/medium scale projects that requires outside consulting interventions to ensure that efficient flow of projects activities and enhance the profit.</li><li>Meets with project managers and supervisors to review progress on projects and agree how communications programs can be further strengthened and optimized.</li><li>Monitors the progress of external consulting projects and works with both the line function and the consultants to ensure objectives are met and outcomes are optimized.</li><li>Acts as the authority across all issue escalation channels for all relevant program/project stakeholders.</li><li>Oversees the continuous review and improvement of project management policies, systems and processes to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and sets policies for third party engagements and measure the effectiveness of supplier’s/service providers.</li><li>Builds key internal (and external) stakeholder relationships in order to address wider business needs.</li><li>Manages the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize subordinate performance.</li><li>Directs project team compliance with contract terms, monitors subcontractors’ progress, performance and compliance with contractual commitments; participates in contract dispute resolution and litigation concerning project performance, administration, and other liability issues; reviews and approves design subcontractor and vendor invoices, and resolves payment disputes.</li><li>Develops and manages cash flow budget of the assigned project and achieving stand – alone financial sustainability during project execution.</li><li>Monitors schedules, billings, and reports; ensures appropriate charging of manhours, costs, and expenses to projects; assists in obtaining payment from clients; resolve client disputes and adjusts billing records as required; communicates project progress/status to senior management and alerts them of project production, quality control or financial performance problems.</li><li>Coordinates communications between internal and external associates and client, and between the firm and regulatory agencies. Maintains frequent contact with clients and regulatory agency personnel to determine their respective needs and requirements, and serves as expert witness at project hearings and judicial proceedings if necessary.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Minimum Requirements</em></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential:</strong></p><ul><li>Education: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.</li><li>12-18 years of experience in in project execution/management with at least 5 years proven track record experience in a similar role ideally within one of the leading Infrastructure Companies.</li><li>PMP or Project Management related Certification.</li><li>Good knowledge of Primavera Project Management.</li><li><em>Fully understand the aspects of project and construction management of complex infrastructure projects.</em></li><li>Excellent problem solving, analytical and business intelligence skills.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects adhering to logistics, timescales and deadlines.</li><li>IT literate – MS Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook).</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Proficiency in English language.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience of using ERP D 365 to fetch business information is an asset.</li><li>MBA Degree is an asset.</li><li>Proficiency in Arabic language.</li><li>Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment is an asset.</li></ul>
