Job Description
<p>A Cost Controller is responsible for controlling the project costs; this includes planning, developing, controlling, and forecasting the project’s budget.</p><p><br></p><p>• Evaluating projects and conducting project cost/ benefit analysis.</p><p>• Conducting feasibility studies (technical and commercial aspects), assessing capital cost involved, and evaluating the viability of new project evaluation techniques.</p><p>• Effectively lead and develop the Estimating team to achieve Company and individual objectives.</p><p>• Planning, directing, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, controlling & reporting different projects.</p><p>• Identifying the critical areas and informing the management regarding delays in the project.</p><p>• Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.</p><p>• Provide planning and cost-controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress the preparation of customer billing processes advice to the internal PMT team as and when required.</p><p>• Perform technical and commercial review of GAGC long-time tenders (sub-contractors quotations) for the preparation of Service agreements.</p><p>• Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS with the use of a project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing, and delivery up to the closure of the project.</p><p>• Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.</p><p>• Attend project meetings and discussions with the PMT and external clients.</p><p>• Perform project costing-related reporting to the team and management review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.</p><p>• Creating budget awareness and contributing to the management process, working within a multi-cultural environment and identifying critical activities, and advising corrective action to avoid slippage.</p><p>• Managing the Electrical procurement program, to allocate Subcontractors for all the electrical systems.</p><p>• Evaluating the quotations received technically based on the project specifications.</p><p>• Meeting with suppliers to discuss their proposed designs and adjust them according to the client’s requirements.</p><p>• Reviewing the technical submittals and drawings.</p><p>• Comply, implement & participate in the improvement of established ISO QMS & EHSMS procedures/ documentations and maintain records keeping.</p><p>• Participate with relevant employees in reviewing individual systems and procedures in EHSMS.</p><p>• Ensure the project cost risks are properly controlled, and where necessary, issue corrective and preventive actions.</p><p>• Achieves electrical engineering operational objectives by contributing electrical engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining administrative system improvements; implementing change.</p><p>• Meets electrical engineering financial objectives by forecasting electrical engineering requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.</p><p>• Develops strategic electrical plans by studying operational plans; studying existing conditions; determining needs to accomplish operational plans; mapping solutions; updating and modifying requirements and solutions; preparing cost estimates and budgets.</p><p>• Plans electrical projects by determining specifications; selecting contractors; establishing installation schedules; planning shut-downs and installations; integrating requirements with architectural and mechanical designs; verifying code requirements; updating cost estimates.</p><p>• Updates job knowledge by remaining current on codes and requirements; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in finance/engineering or relevant field strongly preferred</p><p>• Minimum of 05 years relevant experience in the construction industry with at least 03 years of Gulf experience as a Cost Control.</p><p>• Exceptionally well-organized with an aptitude for data</p><p>• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal</p><p>• Solid networking and interpersonal skills</p><p>• Able to generate budgets and reports</p><p>• Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately</p><p>• Able to develop strong, cooperative relationships with department heads</p><p>• Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems.</p><p>• Should have good experience in construction costing.</p><p>• Solid experience in cost control of construction projects.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Location:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Riyadh or Jeddah</strong></p>
