Job Description

SNC Lavalin Group are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a minimum of 7 years’ technical experience to perform coordination activities to ensure stakeholders interfaces are mapped. the selected candidate will be responsible for the integrated schedule of the Bus project and will monitor as well as ensure that the associated activities to be performed by each party are completed within the set and agreed timeframes. 

 Role and Responsibilities

  • Map and maintain stakeholders interfaces.

  • Coordinate and monitor the interfaces’ protocols between the Contractors and third parties contributing to optimal development and program set up for successful project delivery.

  • Facilitate and document coordination between RTPN parties and stakeholders.

  • Support the Project Controls Manager to obtain information from the stakeholders to create and maintain the integrated schedule. Establishment and develop effective communication methods to support schedule management.

  • Challenging the input to the integrated schedule from other stage holders regarding constituency, changes and provide narrative for the client.

  • Follow-up on related interfaces involving the PMS, including expediting associated activities from all stakeholders.

  • Responsible for preparation, coordination with other stakeholders, getting approvals and issuance of contractual reports to the employer

  • Lead and manage the Bus Roll-out coordination meetings and other future interface meetings

  • Produce and maintain appropriate, standardized documents and regular reporting to the senior management and other stakeholders reflecting key issues, risks, resolutions, and performance to enable them to effectively understand risks and impacts on the project.

  • Ensure a collaborative approach is maintained across the team to facilitate the planning and delivery of interface works, ensuring all issues are clearly understood by teams and addressed, and appropriate interventions developed and implemented.

Qualification and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant discipline is required, with project coordination experience.

Mandatory Experience:

  • 7 years of experience, preferably in the transportation industry.

  • Strong English communication skills – verbal and written.

  • Strong Arabic communication skills – verbal and written (preferred).

  • Strong presentation and moderation skills

  • Project coordination experience.

  • Experience of working in consultant environment and the public transportation sector would be preferable.
