Job description

Project: 2 Storey Hotel

Location: Mauritania

Duration: Project Based, minimum of 1 year

We are seeking an experienced Project Construction Engineer with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering construction projects. Skilled in coordinating with stakeholders, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Managing and supervising all the daily activities (civil and MEP) of project’s construction and ensure compliance to all plans and specifications. Preparing all site surveys and setting out site. Checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly. Supervising contracted staff. Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales. Liaising with project´s parties, subcontractors, local authority employees, RE. Providing technical advice and solving problems on site. Preparing site reports and logging progress. Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to. Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean. Ensure that used Materials, Shop drawings, Method Statements, Equipment and Teams of Labors are approved before commencement of the work. Inspecting Materials provided by Suppliers and Sub-contractors and their Programs in compliance with approved samples and documents. Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available. Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects. Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required. Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts. Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans. Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and RE.

Requirements

Qualifications : Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

Experience and Skills:

Minimum of 7-10 years practical experience in Civil and MEP Engineering and Construction works; Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English – verbal and written, Arabic will be advantage. Strong team player Using AutoCAD, Microsoft, Excel, word…etc.
