The successful candidate will be a core member of the MENA Regional Hub team, fostering strong and effective relationships with municipalities across the region. The role will have primary responsibility for stakeholder engagement in the Levant/Middle East, with a particular focus on expanding relationships and opportunities in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, although stakeholders in other countries in the region may need to be engaged on an ad hoc basis.<p><br></p><strong><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Strengthen and maintain effective long-term relationships with member cities</li><li>Identify, develop and deliver regional programming that responds to the needs of cities</li><li>Facilitate city peer-learning through the identification and exchange of best practices</li><li>Project management activities including reporting, monitoring and evaluation, procurement </li><li> Contribute to the identification of development opportunities and partnerships</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>To View a Full Job Description, Please Click Here.</strong><p><br></p><strong>The ideal candidate</strong><p><br></p>The ideal candidate will possess fluency (verbal and written) in Arabic and English, knowledge of counter-terrorism, preventing/countering violent extremism, rule of law, peacebuilding, conflict mitigation or international cooperation in the Middle East and North Africa region and experience in network building / working with or in national/local governments, civil society and/or international organisations.<p><br></p>Please review our job description for essential criteria, and keep in mind that no candidate will meet every requirement in the advert.
