Job Description
The Program Manager holds the responsibility to manage all aspects of an Art Program. As part of the senior management team, the Program Manager holds the responsibility to liaise and coordinate with the Program Director with all matters related to operational issues required for the success of the program in accordance with the Client expectations. As part of the senior management team, the Program Manager also holds the responsibility to assist in the setting, implementing, monitoring, and reporting of all required management reports and KPIs for the assigned sub program in accordance to the programโs procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee design through artists or consultants, develop contracts as required, issue RFQ and RFP to secure design, procurement and construction contracts and coordinate with client to get them approved.
- Supervision of artwork pieces and fabrication, collection, shipping, installation and maintenance contractors.
- Oversee and manage consultants, contractors, artists while working with the team to ensure design and construction is according to contract documents.
- Manage a team of 3 resources directly reporting to him.
- Assist in bid evaluation for tenders in design and construction.
- Liaise with client team on a regular basis to advise on progress, discuss issues and obtain approvals.
- Ensure consultants and contractors meet reporting requirements of the contracts, client and stakeholderS. Coordinate with Stakeholders for all approvals required.
- Oversee process of milestone payment requests from consultants and contractors.
- Develop and maintain Project Execution Plan.
- Draft and maintain Quality Assurance Management Plan.
- Draft and maintain Risk Register.
- Check that all consultant and contractor submissions are accurate and conform to agreed contracts and schedules and provide supplementary analysis as required.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with the team, Client, consultants and contractors and ensure meeting minutes are produced.
- Maintain overall project schedule while working with the planning team.
- Oversee documentation of construction activities.
- Development of audit and compliance program.
- Oversee on-site inspection program.
- Manage the consultant and contractor milestone turnover inspections.
- Manage the safety and security plan of contractor.
- Manage the change management procedure.
- Manage the cost management procedure.
- Maintain document control system for project activities.
- Confirm consultants and contractors meet contract requirements for construction quality, safety and protection of the environment.
- Coordinate with Financial Manager for all billing related issues.
- Interview and assist in hiring of team members.
Skills
REQUIREMENTS โ
- Minimum 18 years of professional experience
- Extensive Project Management experience and prior experience in PMO is a plus
- Experience dealing with governmental entities
- Experience in Saudi Arabia and GCC is a plus.
- Passionate about art and should have extensive experience in dealing with artworks from well-renowned artists.
- Possess a deep knowledge of artwork fabrication, collection, shipping, installation and maintenance.
- Previous experience in museums or mega art programs is a plus.
- Previous experience in successful delivery of artwork projects is a must
