<strong><u>Overview</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Background</strong> <strong>:</strong><p><br></p>The USAID Makanati Women Economic Empowerment and leadership Activity will use a Champions of Change approach to work with private sector firms, the government, community-based organizations (CBOs), and other high-level stakeholders to create an enabling environment for women to undertake waged employment in the private sector in Jordan. To that end, Makanati will work with partners and stakeholders to encourage women to consider career choices in high-growth, priority sectors and promote the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in Jordan’s labor force. Using a targeted sector and regional focus, Makanati will seek to increase women’s access to the job market and demand-driven job skills and leadership training that responds to market needs. Makanati will also identify and address policy gaps, workplace inequalities and prohibitive social norms and traditions to support an equitable and inclusive workforce enabling environment.<p><br></p>Makanati’s goal is to establish pathways through which social change and economic opportunities lead to a systemic shift from women’s exclusion to inclusion in market systems and increase women’s economic participation in the private sector. This holistic approach will bridge the gap between women’s and men’s inclusion in the workforce and, overall, will contribute to inclusive economic growth in Jordan. Makanati is implemented by EnCompass LLC in partnership with Nathan, <strong>a Cadmus Company</strong> , Integrated International and JoWomenomics.<p><br></p>This position will be under Nathan <strong>,</strong> a Cadmus Company. Nathan focuses on a range of economic development subject matter areas including Trade &amp; Logistics; Economic Policy &amp; Governance; Private Sector Development; Women’s Economic Empowerment; and Financial Solutions.<p><br></p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Position Summary:</strong><p><br></p>The Program Coordinator and Administrator will divide time between assisting the coordination of government-related events, meetings and workshops and serving as the administrator for Nathan’s Makanati employees in Amman, Jordan. The coordinator will manage filing systems, support the outreach activities and provide any additional logistics support to the Makanati government team. In addition, the coordinator will serve as the HR representative, manage the company bank account, and process salaries and expense reports for Nathan Makanati staff. This role will coordinate with Nathan’s Home Office staff in the United States.<p><br></p><strong><u>Coordination</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Assist in the coordination of government-related events, meetings, and workshops.</li><li>Assist in organizing outreach activities to engage relevant government stakeholders and partners.</li><li>Support the development and dissemination of communication materials related to the government component.</li><li>Liaise with government officials, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.</li><li>Provide support in taking minutes and preparing summaries of government meetings and activities and uploading them into the system.</li><li>Manage logistics for government activities, including venue arrangements, travel arrangements, and procurement of necessary materials.</li><li>Prepare and distribute relevant documents, agendas, and briefing materials for government meetings and events.</li><li>Collect, organize, and manage data and information related to government activities and initiatives.</li><li>Help maintain a database of government contacts and ensure regular updates.</li><li>Maintain an organized filing system for documents, reports, and correspondence related to the government component.</li><li>Assist in monitoring and tracking the progress of government-related tasks and deliverables.</li><li>Contribute to the preparation of the bi-weekly reports, technical briefs and updates on government activities.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Administration</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Manage monthly salary disbursement and expense reporting for Nathan, a Cadmus Company Jordan-based staff and consultants, including working with the payroll firm to manage the process and provide financial approvals.</li><li>Manage Nathan’s local bank account, ensuring all financial filing is completed and the account is well managed.</li><li>Work with Nathan’s HQ accounting and finance department to ensure that all project accounts are accurate.</li><li>Liaise with the prime contractor and relevant vendors as needed.</li><li>Serve as Nathan’s HR representative in the Makanati office.</li><li>Manage &amp;draft local consultants and vendor contracts in coordination with Nathan HQ.</li><li>Follow up with Nathan HQ on government and private sector technical requests.</li><li>Coordinate with the Nathan home office team to assure operational continuity.</li><li>Work, as needed, with Nathan’s legal representative in Amman, Jordan.</li><li>Other related assignments and duties as requested by the Nathan Home Office Project Director.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>10 years of experience in program administration, administrative support, and/or and team coordination</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in HR, procurement, business administration or a related field</li><li>General understanding of human resources, administration, and local labor law in Jordan</li><li>Experience with overseeing financial, procurement, and personnel matters, including but not limited to employee payments and expense reports</li><li>Experience managing a Jordanian bank account, preferably for an international company</li><li>Experience on USAID projects preferred</li><li>Ability to work independently and multi-task in a team setting with minimal supervision</li><li>Fluency with MS Office software</li><li>Must be able to maintain confidentiality for all company and staff proprietary matters</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Additional Information</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>For employees working outside of the United States, compensation and benefits will vary based on the project and the location.</strong><p><br></p>We value the critical role safety and health protocols contribute to everyone’s success at Cadmus, and work together to align and comply with all federal, state, and local safety and health mandates related to COVID to ensure a safe and valuable work environment.<p><br></p>Candidates who will be required to travel to specific countries must be willing to meet all of the requirements of the destination country(ies) for unimpeded entry.<p><br></p>Learn more about Cadmus by visiting our website at: http://www.cadmusgroup.com<p><br></p><strong>Job Locations</strong> <strong>JO-Amman</strong><p><br></p><strong>Posted Date</strong> <strong>3 weeks ago</strong> <strong>(7/5/2023 4:15 PM)</strong><p><br></p><strong><strong>Job ID</strong></strong> <strong>2023-2495</strong><p><br></p><strong><strong># of Openings</strong></strong> <strong>1</strong><p><br></p><strong><strong>Category</strong></strong> <strong>Associate</strong>
