Production Supervisor

Job Description

Our client is a global leader in the Industrial machinery manufacturing sector. HQ in America.<p><br></p>They serve two key markets, agriculture, and infrastructure, with seven different product divisions, including Utility, Lighting and Transportation, Telecom, Solar, Coatings, Irrigation, and Ag Tech.<p><br></p>They manufacture products in 85 facilities across six continents while running a business in 22 different countries.<p><br></p>They are in search of a <strong>Production Supervisor</strong> to join their team in Dubai.<p><br></p><strong>Experience:</strong> 5 – 8 Years (3 years’ experience; preferably in the <strong>Steel Fabrication industry</strong>)<p><br></p><strong>Location: </strong>Jafza, Dubai<p><br></p><strong>Education level</strong>: Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.<p><br></p><strong>Specific knowledge, skill, ability, and requirements:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Knowledge of product management is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.</li><li>Must have good knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Win Word, PowerPoint, etc.</li><li>Experience in working in multicultural environments is desired.<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Operates from a narrow scope of responsibility to maintain production schedules and to ensure quality standards and</li><li>Safety requirements are met.</li><li>Maintenance of production schedule and production to meet the delivery of customer orders on time.</li><li>Must have sound knowledge of MIG Welding, welding defects, Jigs, and Fixtures.</li><li>Capable to Interpret drawings and welding symbols and can use measuring instruments like Micrometer, Vernier, Dial gauge, etc.</li><li>Works closely with the Maintenance department for upkeep of machines and Utilities for uninterrupted production.</li><li>Oversees the accomplishment of assigned work through subordinate lead assemblers.</li><li>Plan work makes assignments and trains new employees as per Managers instruction.</li><li>Provide on-the-job training for production employees in all areas of their job duties including Safety and Quality requirements.</li><li>Assist hiring process and administers company policies for assigned department.</li><li>Has basic knowledge of Lean and ISO 9001 QMS.</li><li>Reports discrepancies in blueprints, specifications, methods, engineering data, standards, etc., to the production manager.<br></li></ul><p><br></p>Employee is entitled to meet the standard &amp; guidelines for (ISO-9001:2015- Quality Management System, ISO-14001:2015-Environmental Management System, ISO-45001:2018- Occupational Health and Safety Management System)<p><br></p><strong>Independence: </strong>Reporting to the Operations Manager; Operating with broad objectives and with independent choice of methods in line with the divisions mission statement.
