Plan, organize, and monitor resources (people/equipment/time) to ensure a smooth and consistent performance that satisfies internal and external customers.<br><br><strong>This position will be responsible for…..<br></strong><ul><li>Manages at least 2 full time exempt direct reports. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination. </li><li>Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary.</li><li>Develops and manages the department budget, ensures compliance and addresses variances and other budget concerns.</li><li>Plan and coordinate production requirements with all department supervisors across all shifts. </li><li>Track productivity, quality, costs, revenue, volume, and headcount requirements. </li><li>Outline and share special project requirements with department supervision, and fit them into production plans as needed. </li><li>Work with Materials Management and the Technical Support groups to plan for new model launches, and provide them with production forecasts to aid in the purchasing of materials. </li><li>Work in a fast paced, high volume production environment.</li><li>Communicate and plan with peers, managers and customers. </li><li>Revenue growth through added-value/billable process creation/improvement. </li><li>Cost control and analysis. </li><li>Staff development planning. </li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. </li><li>Communication and planning with employees, customers, vendors and executive management. </li><li>Contribute to company overall strategies and goals, training program, succession planning and staff career path planning. </li><li>Production planning, scheduling, budgeting and forecasting for department operations. </li><li>Process analysis – time and motion, workflow and resource flow. </li><li>Create measures and controls to ensure that performance standards, contract compliance and goals are met.<br></li></ul><strong>You might be a great fit if….<br><br></strong><strong><u>Education/Experience<br></u></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics, accounting, engineering or related field preferred and 8 years of relevant experience.</li><li>In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 10 years of relevant experience.</li><li>Span of control is at department level or above.</li><li>Business, logistics, accounting, engineering or related field. </li><li>Supervisory experience leading a team of 30 or more. </li><li>Experience with P&amp;L, 5S LEAN, using WMS and Oracle, direct Client interaction, Project Management and Program Management. </li><li>Intermediate level Excel, Word &amp; PowerPoint skills. </li><li>Six Sigma training preferred. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Customer service driven.</li><li>Strong team player.<br></li></ul><strong><u>Physical/Cognitive Requirements<br><br></u></strong>With or without accommodation:<br><ul><li>Ability to follow policies and procedures.</li><li>Ability to read, write and interpret information.</li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. </li><li>Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.</li><li>Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day. </li><li>Ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push or pull.</li><li>Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.</li><li>Ability to lift/carry items less than 40 pounds.<br></li></ul><strong>ADA – </strong>FedEx Supply Chain will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
