Overview

***This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.***

  • Under supervision of the Automotive Supervisor, the Production Control Clerk, Lead oversees, directs, and manages daily operations of the Production Control and Work Orders Section. Serves as the centralized customer service focal point.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Processes all work requests, to include after-hours calls, dispatches craftsmen to emergencies, and writes corrective maintenance (CM).
  • Classifies work using the most current Government work classification system.
  • Inspects, maintains, repairs, operates, and performs minor alternations efficiently and economically.
  • Processes all work requests within 24 hours after receipt to ensure a high level of customer service. Also manages the CE vehicle fleet and associated tasks and makes vehicle assignments.
  • Manages vehicle inventory, monitors Government vehicle status, provides maintenance oversight, prepares reports, and investigates vehicle incidents.
  • Processes all work requests within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Education/Certifications:
    • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License, is required.
    • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
    • Must have valid US Passport.
    • Must be US citizen.
    • Associate degree or equivalent required. Must provide a copy of the diploma or college transcript.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
    • To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered. This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines. Compliance with this government requirement is an essential function of the position and is a condition of employment.
  • Experience:
    • A solid background in automated data systems and automated data system input.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Production Control.
  • Skills:
    • MS Office suite expertise is required as well as excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
    • Fluent in English as exemplified in writing and in verbal skills.
    • Ability to encourage teamwork and manage priorities and deadlines.
    • Must be able to inspect, maintain, repair, operate, and perform minor alternations efficiently and economically
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Lead for the Production Control Clerk team.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
