Role purpose:
Product Manager
The new team Data Analytics and Insights (DAIS) set in Cairo starting Sep 2022 is an excellence center in Vodafone Intelligence Solutions (_VOIS) which is an extension of Vodafone Group Data and Analytics (D&A) function that serves all Vodafone operators across Europe.
The Group D&A team and DAIS are working on a major data transformation project called Nucleus which involves moving Vodafone operators data from legacy servers to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to become a common platform for all markets and build common data models and products that would benefit all markets and maximize data analytics value.
As a product manager your main responsibilities are:
β’ Partnering with and developing a roadmap for stakeholders to understand the demand for data products and how they will create maximum value for Vodafone, clearly articulating the requirement and its financial and non-financial benefits.
β’ Challenge and refine Data & Analytics requirements with stakeholders and partner with delivery teams to produce quality BI & Analytics solutions within agreed scope that achieve maximum return for the investment.
β’ Ensure adoption of Product within stakeholder area to drive efficiencies and maximum value to the organisation.
β’ Close working with all BI functions both on-shore and off-shore to ensure delivery of quality products and then lead the change management within the functions.
β’ Develop product requirements, work closely with engineering, prioritize and launch core functionality and lead cross-functional collaboration.
β’ Develop and adhere to a disciplined product development process, ensuring key milestones are met.
β’ Obtain product feature feedback from stakeholders and refine/optimize features to maximize value.
β’ Constantly being aware of new technologies/services and identify opportunities to automate/simplify/enhance the existing data products.
Requirements
β’ Computer Science qualification or equivalent of University degree (or equivalent working knowledge of data);
β’ Knowledge of full life cycle Product Management experience including: strategy, development, launch, optimization, and sunset.
β’ 3+ years of experience working in Financial Reporting
β’ Experience creating product roadmaps from conception to launch, driving the product vision, defining go-to-market strategy, and leading design discussions.
β’ Data-driven decision making, quantitative analysis skills and data handling experience to make informed decisions. (with SQL proficiency)
β’ Working knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud platform).
β’ Telecom background is preferred.
β’ Ability to clearly articulate product strategy requirements to collaborators, engineering and internal business partners
β’ Ability to establish rapport, credibility and influence others to achieve results across a large matrixed organization.
β’ Self-motivated, works well in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability
β’ Able to identify and explain challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Experience communicating engineering technical challenges that may affect business timelines.
β’ Candidates for this role will have a strong bias for action and bring a history of delivering results.
β’ Able to lead with influence in a multi culture and multi layered matrix organization.
