<p><strong>Position Title: Product Manager (</strong>RTP, TCP, Spoolable)</p><p><strong>Reports to: </strong>Director of Technology</p><p>Category: FTE</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Dammam</p><p><strong>Unit / Division / Department / Section: </strong>Technology</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>JOB PURPOSE: </strong>Define, own, lead, direct and execute the Product Design, Manufacturing Process, Qualification program, Quality Control plan, Know-How Documentation, Value Engineering and Application of FPI’s spoolable TCP, RTP product line (Flexstrong®). Initiate, lead, manage and execute Product Development projects, Product Technology Transfer, and Training for the product line.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Product Management </strong></p><ul><li>Be responsible for and be the custodian of the full product life cycle of Flexstrong® from concept to post-launch support, including design definition, resources allocation, budgeting, prototype production, validation and testing, know-how documentation, certification, and product launch.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Product Development </strong></p><ul><li>Define product development projects to expand and / or enhance the product range.</li><li>Lead, plan, supervise and be responsible for their timely execution within budget and agreed time frame.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Product Qualification</strong></p><ul><li>Define &amp; execute qualification programs to assure Flexstrong® compliance with applicable international standards, client specifications and the foreseen applications over the pipe’s life cycle.</li><li>Define, initiate, coordinate, and compile all the required tests for the Product Qualification meeting both the internal and market / international standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Product Know-How </strong></p><ul><li>Lead, manage and direct the generation, implementation, and use of a set of internal and external documents covering product design, manufacturing process, raw material selection, qualification, quality assurance and applications of Flexstrong® product.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Technology Transfer </strong></p><ul><li>Provide a proper technology transfer to the operating units covering all the applicable product range aspects (technology, design, manufacturing, QC, RM)</li><li>Train relevant personnel including technical support teams, production, QC and site-service, on product, process and quality control know-how, specifications and requirements, to support the product range and its application engineering and design issues.</li><li>Capture and transfer of “best practices” in technology and process implementation within FPI group manufacturing units.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Technical Support &amp; Problem Solving </strong></p><ul><li>Provide the Sales &amp; Application Value Engineering / manufacturing units with expert advice with it comes to Flexstrong® production, design, installation, etc.</li><li>Increase the sales and profitability of Flexstrong® by effective communication of reports and procedures, and by working with the manufacturing units to minimise the rejection rates during mass production</li><li>Advise / assist the operating units / Technical &amp; Sales Support unit with their technical queries and keep the technical team informed on latest techniques and procedures.</li><li>Provide upon request by the Technical &amp; Sales Support unit any calculations / supporting documents showing the design integrity of the products.</li><li>Attend meetings with clients, consultants, or contractors upon request by the sales / AVE or operating units.</li><li>Supply expert advice to, and generate a vision for, Application Engineering and Marketing with regards to technical feasibility and design of piping components.</li><li>Provide advice for corrective actions for failures of installed pipe systems, or for failures during qualification testing.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Teamwork &amp; Employee Excellence </strong></p><ul><li>Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, recruiting, and retaining required team members.</li><li>Enhance work environment to promote and drive employee engagement and team effectiveness.</li><li>Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide staff feedback regarding strengths, areas for improvements and development opportunities.</li><li>Establish KPI’s for individual units and ensure that they are aligned with FPI’s mission and vision.</li><li>Identify key positions and ensure succession plans are in place for target staff.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>SPAN OF Communication:</p><ul><li>Internal: Technology, QHSE, production, QA/QC, sales, marketing, application value engineering, site services, projects, and procurement departments. General managers, product engineers and managers, testing engineers and managers, procurement managers, sales engineers and managers, marketing managers, Geo-market managers, production engineers and managers, internal auditors.</li><li>External: Consultants, educational institutes, laboratories, third parties, clients or end-users, standardisation institutes, standards committees, certifying bodies, suppliers, training institutes and Leading technical experts in specialised fields.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>JOB RELEVANT INFORMATION (BOUNDARIES &amp; DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY): Jobholder has final authority on all aspects of Flexstrong® product brands and contents of all the applicable Know-How documents. This includes product design &amp; verification, raw material selection procedures, definition of production processes, Performance criteria, Qualification requirements, Quality plan requirements and installation procedures.</p><p><br></p><p>QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, &amp; SKILLS</p><p>Required qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, or polymer engineering</li><li>Master’s degree preferred</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Preferred experience:</p><ul><li>7 years’ experience in the design / production / testing of composite piping materials in a large industrial organisation.</li><li>Thermoplastic composites experience.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Job-specific skills:</p><ul><li>In-depth and detailed understanding of design, production methods, applicable standards &amp; specifications and testing techniques for composite products, especially for markets targeted for the assigned product line(s)</li><li>Expert in composite design, materials &amp; applicable manufacturing processes.</li><li>·Expert in linking theoretical possibilities to practical limitations / possibilities.</li><li>Background in composite material theories (laminate theory), failure theories, stress tensors, etc. is preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Competencies</p><ul><li>Product knowledge</li><li>Analytical skills &amp; thinking</li><li>Problem solving skills</li><li>Team player</li><li>Leadership skills</li><li>Self-motivation &amp; initiative</li><li>Creativity and innovation</li><li>Computer literacy: Microsoft office (word / excel / power point), cad &amp; fea packages.</li><li>Written &amp; verbal communication skills with ability to communicate in English.</li></ul>
