Product Designer

Job Description

This candidate will have a strong ability to design creative products for kids (fun and hands-on educational products). This candidate should feel comfortable creating prototypes and communicating with internal teams in order to deliver wholesome solutions. The candidate should also be able to follow budget constraints and demonstrate some pieces of previous works through a portfolio. 

Responsibilities

• Create product prototypes prior to creating the final product
• Adjust approach towards designs based on feedback provided
• Generating ideas, brainstorming, and researching product concepts.
• Prototyping and testing.
• Material sourcing and sampling.
• Creating clear instructions for assembling and using the product.

Skills:

• Experience in Autocad.
• Experience in any 3D design software.
• Experience in Illustrator.

A plus

• Experience in Sketchup.
• Experience with 3d printers and their software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following (Mechanical Engineering – Industrial Engineering – Architecture)
• 2 – 5 years experience in product design or related field
• Strong creative, design, and communication skills
• Portfolio of work
