<strong>LCBO<br><br></strong><strong>Location Address:<br><br></strong>,<br><br><strong>Job Posting Description:<br><br></strong>The Product Consultant will share their enthusiasm for wine with our customers and inspire that passion with employees. You will create a safe, positive and engaging environment in our stores that our employees are happy to work in and support our customers make perfect choices made easy. The Product Consultant delivers an outstanding customer experience, recommending the right product mix to reflect customer preferences. The Product Consultant contributes to the daily operations of the store and provides comprehensive product knowledge with multiple alcohol beverage products sold at the LCBO.<br><br><strong>About the Role:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Advise and answer customers and staff questions regarding the origin, vintage, and style of different wines, spirits, ciders and beer.</li><li>Place product orders and maintains product inventory. Support staff training.</li><li>Provide advanced level of product knowledge.</li><li>Participate in grading panels, trade shows community and special events.</li><li>Work in more than one location (if required).</li><li>Complete other job-related tasks as assigned by management.<br><br></li></ul><strong>About You:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience with wine and the industry.</li><li>Have sound knowledge of retail store procedures, LCBO products and inventory management.</li><li>Exceptional service skills. Experience leading and training others.</li><li>Genuine interest in the daily operations of our LCBO retail stores.</li><li>Acute palate sensitivity.</li><li>1+ years of experience overseeing a section of the store, recommending product listing/delisting, ordering product.</li><li>Enthusiasm for advising customers on product selection, food pairings, wine choices and cocktail mixology.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information:</strong><ul><li>Relocation: Employees are responsible for their own relocation expenses.</li><li>Training: Ability to learn and share product knowledge.</li><li>Requirements: You must meet the following basic requirements:</li><ul><li>Solid past work performance (prior 2 years)</li><li>Satisfactory discipline and attendance record.</li><li>Completed the appropriate Product Knowledge/ Service Knowledge level courses.<br><br><br></li></ul></ul><strong>Application Process:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Complete the Product Consultant Application Form (located on Service Now)</li><li>Include your relevant experience in and outside of the LCBO (if you don’t have 100% of the requirements that’s ok, still apply)</li><li>Upload your Product Consultant Application Form with your Workday application</li><li>Be sure to submit and complete the full application process<br><br></li></ul>If you have questions about the application process, send an email to talentacquisition@lcbo.com<br><br>You will be selected for assessment based on your Product Consultant Application detailing background and work experience in relation to the qualifications listed above.
