This is where you can do your best work.<br><br>Join us at the intersection of saving and sustaining lives—where your purpose accelerates our mission.<br><br><strong>Summary<br><br></strong>The Product Buyer is responsible for driving exceptional product quality and customer value beyond expectations, for continuously improving a world-class supply base for assigned products at optimized cost and best quality for Baxter over product lifetime – from Idea towards End-of-Life. This is a key purchasing position in regard to product improvement management, affecting Baxter’s overall business in all aspects of the purchase price and quality cost.<br><br>The person in this position will be primarily responsible for the direct materials purchasing for the Medolla plant, and all supply-related projects and initiatives.<br><br><strong>What will you be doing?<br></strong><ul><li>Being responsible for purchase price variance for assigned products, including total cost analysis and improvement actions (PPV Maintenance and Tracking).<br></li><li>Being responsible for Product or Process changes in regard to assigned suppliers/machines, together with R&D and Manufacturing, issuing Engineering Change Requests (Product Change Management).<br></li><li>Supporting Product Change Management, managing the inputs from suppliers through SNCs (Supplier Notification of Change), coordinating internal and external stakeholders in order to finalize Purchasing tasks, to implement Change Controls.<br></li><li>Supporting plants and Material Management on material availability and/or quality incident management (Supplier Relationship Management, Daily Business).<br></li><li>Being responsible for End-of-Production and End-of-Life Management for 3rd party material on assigned products, Spare Parts pricing and material obsolescence incident management (Product Lifetime Management).<br></li><li>Being responsible for warranty and guarantee management in regard to assigned suppliers and products (Contractual Issue Management).<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Who are we looking for?<br></strong><ul><li>A professional with at least 3 years of sourcing experience (experience in global organization and multi-national corporations preferred) ideally holding Engineering or Management degree but any other University degree is sufficient.<br></li><li>A person with strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively & independently, passionate and having boundary less approach in both technical and commercial target achievements.<br></li><li>Self-starter and result-oriented with “Can-Do-Attitude”.<br></li><li>Fluent English speaker (Italian will be a huge asset).<br></li><li>Proficient in computer skills (MS Office, Windows etc.)<br><br><br></li></ul><strong><span>What do we offer:<br></span></strong><ul><li>Saturdays and Sundays off.<br></li><li>Separate insurance package.<br></li><li>Gym memberships.<br></li><li>Development opportunities and cross-site networking.<br></li><li>Flexible working hours.<br></li><li>Security on-site, parking garage, large cafeteria onsite.<br><br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Reasonable Accommodations<br><br></strong>Baxter is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
