Job Description
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Procurement</p><ul><li>Research, assess, and evaluate prospective suppliers that provide products with the required specifications.</li><li>Conduct regular supplier visits and attend exhibitions to assess their capacity, size, and level of sophistication.</li><li>Compare and recommend suppliers according to factory status, price, quality, payment terms, and delivery options for final selection.</li><li>Monitor stock levels and sales levels on a regular basis to define quantities to order.</li><li>Prepare orders forecasts and outflow reports after reviewing sales forecasts from the sales team</li><li>Perform regular negotiations with suppliers on contracts and agreements, price improvements, shipment dates, and delivery terms.</li><li>Share samples to send it to our local subsidiary in Africa for testing and quality assurance.</li><li>Prepare Cost Sheets and compute the profit margin for every product ordered.</li></ul><p>Ordering and Shipping Process</p><ul><li>Review and confirm the purchase orders (POs), (PIs) and sales contract</li><li>Monitor the documentation process done by the supply chain officer/s and resolve any issue encountered.</li><li>Monitor the Letter of Credit preparation and confirm on all the records</li><li>Confirm on the artwork and labels prepared by the graphic designer as well as all the details to ensure accuracy and compliance with the federal authorities in Africa.</li><li>Confirm that the orders are properly insured.</li><li>Follow up with the logistics department and the accounting department on receiving the order on time and in good condition.</li><li>Negotiate with the supplier to compensate or replace the damaged/missing goods, if there are any damages or missing items.</li><li>Coordinate with the accounting and finance team on the payments</li></ul><p>Team management</p><ul><li>Manage staff by overseeing their performance, participating in recruiting new hires, training, and development to ensure high performance, engagement, and development levels.</li><li>Enhance team effort by encouraging teamwork, and positive working relationships among team members.</li><li>Promote professional communication and cooperation between team members by facilitating team meetings, team presentations, and other means of work organizing and information-sharing methods.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>10 to 12 years of experience in supply chain and a minimum of 5 years in procurement</p><p><span>Ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers</span></p><p>Strong communication and problem-solving skills</p><p>Excellent research skills</p><p><span>Strong leadership skills and the ability to direct others according to company standards</span></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
