Job Description

PROCUREMENT:

  • Maintain a strict level of compliance, follow Ethics and professionalism  
  • Assist Procurement Manager for project sequencing and phasing reviews.
  • Assist Procurement Manager in interfacing with the Project & Engineering Team, Vendors and  subcontractors to ensure all purchasing requirements are met and issues are resolved.
  • Identifying project applicable procurement requirements.
  • Floating RFQs to potential vendors and chasing them for the receipt of offers.
  • Reviewing quotations and clarifying initial queries with suppliers
  • Follow up with suppliers on responses for Technical queries, co‐ordination with Engineering, Project & Quality Team to confirm the suitability and proceed with negotiation, finalization and issuance of orders.
  • Implementation of supplier registration process and maintenance of vendor evaluation process as per ISO procedures.
  • Develop project specific procurement plans, update it on a regular basis and Provide procurement input to project planning and team meetings during execution as necessary.
  • Follow up with Finance on the supplier pending payments
  • Updation of RFQ & PO Trackers along with the Document Management System
  • Issuance of PO’s to Vendor

EXPEDITING

  • Follow up for technical drawing/submittal with vendors post order.
  • Review of received Documents and co‐ordination with Engineering team for Internal approval and with Project Team to get approval from Client on the technical submittal
  • Follow up for fabrication schedule and update on the progress and liaise with QC Inspectors for any inspection required at the Vendor facility.
  • Follow up with suppliers to obtain a draft of the shipping document according to project requirements and check on the delivery status for ordered items.
  • Co‐ordination with Logistics team Team for shipping material on readiness after clearance

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-4 years experience in procurement & Expedition
  • Strong technical background.
  • Management of potential conflict robustly.
  • Understanding of Expeditor role &  logistics
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle various assigned project under pressure to complete it on time
  • Ability to communicate and interact professionally with Vendors and Subcontractors
  • Must have integrity and be able to demonstrate it with excellent organizational ability.
  • Act on your own initiative and operate in a proactive way being unbiased
