Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Process Engineer , location in Basra, Iraq on a 6/1 daily work.
Position Requirements:
- Carry out delegated process engineering design activities in adherence with both Client and Wood standards and procedures, to schedule and budget, as directed by the Lead Process Engineer / Project Line Manager
- Conduct site surveys and collect site data and other data as required for project execution and completion of process design tasks
- Develop, review, and take responsibility for the accuracy of detailed process calculations, process engineering datasheets and process drawings for all delegated projects tasks
- Perform Heat and mass balance calculations and HYSYS and PIPESIM or equivalent simulations.
- Remain up-to-date with the latest technical developments in process engineering.
- Demonstrate, provide and develop appropriate technical solutions for specific project tasks.
- Support internal development and continuous improvement activities as required.
- Ensure the delivery of challenging project and client targets using sound technical knowledge and decision-making skills.
- Take a proactive approach to personal & professional development
- Ensure that Wood and Client health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work
- Demonstrate appreciation of commercial and technical risks, managing these appropriately within own work and highlighting any significant issues to relevant lead engineers and manage
Skills / Qualifications
- Chemical Engineering degree is essential
- Maximum of 5-7 years of design experience on onshore Oil and Gas projects (both Brownfield and Greenfield)
- Proven process engineering design experience demonstrating both technical, safety and environmental knowledge
- Proven process engineering design experience with technical safety and environmental awareness
- Experience with process studies, Concept, FEED, HAZID, HAZOP, HAZOP closeout and SIL studies
