<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong> Job Overview: <br><br></strong><ul><li> Plan structural execution including scope, deliverables, and scope split matrix, schedule and all manpower resources</li><li> agree allocations with the Depariment Manager. Oversee structural engineering progress & deliverables for assigned projects. </li><li> Lead the assigned engineers and drafting personnel to complete the scope as per planned schedule, within budget, in </li><li> accordance with fabrication standards, Level 283 procedures and lo a high professional standard – keep the Discipline Manager appraised of all activities and concerns, both technical, budgetary and manpower related. </li><li> Ensure that input deliverables for design engineering and it’s schedules are clearly indentified. </li><li> Ensure Interfacos, deliverables and it’s schedules are clearly identified. </li><li> Coordinate material control requlrements and maintains agreed material order release dates, ensures standards are followed </li><li> Monitor scope change, Raises change notifications to the project. </li><li> Interface with Client and other agencies on their review and approval. </li><li> Prepare estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements and manhour estimates identifies and provides training to staff in specific techniques and proprietary software. </li><li> Assist in the development of fabrication standards, and recruitments </li><li> Assist in the maintenance of departmental technical guidelines and standard calculation notes. </li><li> Liaise with all other Engineering groups, Fabrication Group, Safety Dept, Offshore Group, Project Management Team, Document Control, Project Planner, Project Cost Controller, QC and Certification Group, Subcontractors and Vendors (technical issues), and Clients. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong> Key Tasks and Responsibilities: <br><br></strong><ul><li> Maintain responsibility for the structural engineering integrity of the design group. </li><li> Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity. Identify any corrective action. Raise changes orders for scope change. </li><li> “Be fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule and all inter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives lo address the issuos. </li><li> Review all project schedules. Review the fabrication schedule in relation to construction sequence and engineering scope. Plan discipline Level 4 detail deliverable schedule/ register compliant with the overall execution plan. </li><li> Prepare working forecasts identifying change management plans, corrective action and real time schedule </li><li> Assign AFC engineering budget. </li><li> Supervise and guide all engineers, Designers and Weight Control Engineer. </li><li> Assign tasks and responsibilities to the project structural leam. </li><li> Provide guidance on preparing structural general arrangements, basic schemes for fabrication and installa an. </li><li> Review and prepare engineering design basis for assigned projects. </li><li> Review / prepare design analysis, calculations and procedures for discipline deliverables such as: </li><li> Analysis of structures for in-service and pre-service conditions. </li><li> Detailed steelwork design. </li><li> Ensure that single discipline checking procedure and inter-discipline checking procedures are carried-out. </li><li> Lead the discipline team during project audits/ TOA. </li><li> Review all delailed drawings ensuring technical correctness, professional presentation and that fabrication and installation requirements are satisfled. </li><li> Review and approve the project Weight Control Report, ensuring technical quality, professional presentation and that Fabrication and installation requirements are employed. </li><li> Review multidiscipline deliverables, vendor data. Provide comments to ensure all interfaces are detailed clash free. </li><li> Review comments from Clients & other agencies on documents and drawings produced by the department, resolve and give guidance on their updation and incorporation. </li><li> Review/prepare CRS for client review comments </li><li> Identify the Lesson Learned in all the projects and present in the Discipline group meeting – logged to Lessons Learned </li><li> Management system. </li><li> Coordinate material control requirements and maintain agreed material order release dates, ensuring standards are followed. </li><li> Review material requisitions for structural items. Reviev structural vendor data for correctness and adequacy of input to design. </li><li> Perform TBE on structural items from vendors as project requirements. </li><li> Provide technical support to all fabrication queries. Identify defect / rectification requirements. </li><li> Keep the Department Manager and Project Management Team apprised of all activities and concerns, lechnical, budgetary and manpower related <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong> Essential Qualifications and Education: <br><br></strong><ul><li> BS Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Preferred MS Degree) </li><li> Min. 10+ yrs in oil and gas with major contractor consultant </li><li> Detailed knowledge of all design techniques and analysis methods. Detailed knowledge of the theory, content and application of statutory codes and guidelines as applicable for offshore. </li><li> Detailed knowledge of fabrication yard </li><li> procedures, offshore equipment & project requirements. </li><li> Knowledgeable in project execution skills. </li><li> Preferably Reg.
