<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>Job Overview:<br><br></strong>The Commercial Lead is the SPoC (Single Point of Contact) for all commercial communication and co-ordination for the Pipeline Production Group.<br><br>Responsible and accountable for all commercial bid inputs, including the creation of norms and standards that can be utilised for streamlining the bidding process. The Lead will also be responsible for continuous improvements of the bidding process and model..<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Provides leadership and direction through senior managers in welding engineering, operations and subject matter experts.</li><li>Is accountable for the production performance of offshore pipeline projects globally. </li><li>Measures and continuously improves the effectiveness of pipeline production operations and processes, maintaining and monitoring key performance indicators.</li><li>Implements pipeline production strategy and action across the organization.</li><li>Responsible for operational production targets and performance and ensuring that the production strategy is effectively communicated and implemented on all projects. </li><li>Maintains adequate levels of competent personnel with the department and mentors staff for succession planning.</li><li>Develops and promotes a culture in line with the company’s values through the functional group</li><li>Communicates and maintains relationships with key suppliers and vendors for welding, NDT and field joint coatings. </li><li>Maintains an understanding of competition and innovation in the industry to monitor upcoming changes </li><li>Other duties related to pipeline production, as directed by Senior Director – PPG.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Essential Qualifications and Education:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Degree in Engineering preferable – Experience in lieu is acceptable</li><li>Over 8 years within the offshore construction industry primarily within pipeline production roles</li><li>Significant experience in rigid pipeline production</li><li>Understanding of the Commercial Bidding process for Rigid Pipeline Fabrication </li><li>Experience of engaging with multi-functional / discipline teams<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications and Education:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to provide leadership and management to newly formed pipeline production group – production department.</li><li>Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken<br><br></li></ul><strong>Company Overview and Core Values:<br><br></strong>McDermott is a premier, fully-integrated provider of technology, engineering and construction solutions to the energy industry.
