We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.<p><br></p><strong><em>Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone? </em></strong><p><br></p><strong>JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER – HSE DESIGN</strong><p><br></p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Responsible for producing deliverables such as HSE design basis, Fire Protection / F&amp;G philosophies, Firefighting equipment specifications, P&amp;ID, layouts, datasheets, hazardous area schedule, fire proofing schedule, fire &amp; gas mapping, F&amp;G layout, F&amp;G Cause &amp; Effects, performing firewater hydraulics, surge analysis, sizing fire water pump, designing deluge / spray system, gas suppression system, water mist system, Safety and Lifesaving equipment etc.</li><li> Organize and participate in workshops such as HAZID, ENVID, OHID, HAZOP, RAM, SIL, Bow-Tie, SCE PS, ALARP, PHSER, SIMOPS</li><li> Provide inputs like spacing, building locations, fire proofing requirement, blast requirement, sterile distance, stack / vent height, Hazardous Area Classification, Fire and Gas detector locations etc.</li><li> Coordinate with other discipline and work center Engineers and ensure that the HSE requirements / study recommendations are implemented in the project design.</li><li> Prepare /review inquiry requisitions, technical bid evaluations and purchase requisitions for specialist studies as well as safety and firefighting equipment.</li><li> Responsible for coordination with client, regulatory authorities, consultants, who are assigned to perform specialized studies, 3rd party certifying agencies, consortium partners, subcontractors, other discipline engineers and Project team.</li><li> Monitor the schedule and ensure the project design activities completes within the allotted manhours and schedule.</li><li> Arrange / participate in FAT, SAT and commissioning of fire protection and safety systems.</li><li> Support the construction and commissioning field queries with justification notes and calculations.</li><li> Review and approve vendor documents and ensure the timely delivery of the documents.</li><li> Participating in cross-functional and inter-office meetings to provide design inputs to Engineering team</li><li> Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks during project stage.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Essential Qualifications And Skills</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 15+ years of years of loss prevention and process safety experience working for EPC company.</li><li> Experience in design of firewater system, F&amp;G system, Fire proofing, Hazardous area, managing safety study and environmental reports in FEED/ Detailed Design for oil, gas industry.</li><li> Conversant with software like PHAST/ FRED, SAFETI, Bow-Tie, Flaresim, Detect3D, Pipenet, ExSILentia, PHAPro, Soundplan, AERMOD</li><li> Preferred to have ADNOC project experience.</li><li> Good knowledge of international safety standards and practices</li><li> Good presentation, training and communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders.</li><li> Strong time management skills including ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.</li><li> Effective technical writing skills in English.</li></ul><p><br></p>Additional Information
