We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.<p><br></p><strong><em>Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone? </em></strong><p><br></p><strong>JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER – CIVIL &amp; STRUCTURAL</strong><p><br></p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Review of ITB (Invitation to Bid) documents and correctly identify the scope of work, understand the contract requirement, review completeness of information provided and minimum requirements for bid submission.</li><li>Review ITB specifications and drawings to identify conflicts or insufficient data and raise Technical Queries as required.</li><li>Identify requirements of various Inquiry requisitions including Topographical &amp; Geotechnical survey work to arrive the costing and to provide support for preparation of the Inquiry requisitions till technical bid evaluation.</li><li>Identify specialized studies / subcontract packages requirements and prepare scope of work. </li><li>Provide support to proposal Management for Technical bid submission by providing Engineering execution plan, identifying Risks &amp; Opportunities at execution phase and Value Engineering/ Optimization ideas.</li><li>Participate in various Interdisciplinary reviews viz. plot plan, constructability, building, PFP, HAZID, Risk and provide technical &amp; commercial solution to the team.</li><li>Review and validate FEED specifications, design basis, geotechnical information and drawings to ensure optimum design solutions are followed as part of FEED verification.</li><li>Interaction with various disciplines for finalizing the requirement, scope and sizes of plant buildings.</li><li>Ensure that Bill of Quantities (BOQ) are prepared covering the ITB scope, incorporating upstream discipline inputs and suitable assumptions to enable a competitive bid.</li><li>Ensure structural, foundation, underground &amp; general civil design related scope is well understood and captured for cost and schedule purposes.</li><li>Supervise and provide guidance in the development of deliverables and technical documents integrating ITB requirements, applicable codes/specifications and other engineering discipline data inputs including constructability aspects.</li><li>Determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems in tandem with the technical specialist and select the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives.</li><li>Determine the proposal &amp; execution stage Manhour requirement, develop manpower charts and schedules. Identify the software requirements for design/drafting/modelling for the project.</li><li>Ensure strict compliance with Company’s ISO Quality procedures.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Essential Qualifications And Skills</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 &amp; above years’ experience related to Oil &amp; Gas industry, preferably from a background in working for consultancy or Engineering organizations in the FEED/EPC of the Onshore Oil and Gas Industry.</li><li>Knowledge in FEED or Basic Engineering, capability of developing from scratch.</li><li>Exposure to preparation of bids for large EPC projects.</li><li>Awareness on total installed cost (TIC) of various Civil design approaches.</li><li>Overall knowledge on major Civil Engineering areas like Geotech &amp; ground improvement ideas, Underground &amp; drainage design, General Civil works including site preparation, Structural engineering in the field of both steel &amp; concrete, Shallow &amp; deep foundations and water retaining structures.</li><li>Building engineering with basic concepts on Blast design and impact.</li><li>Basic knowledge of Modular concept &amp; design.</li><li>Exposure on various type of Equipment/Package foundations and Technological structures.</li><li>Exposure in various company’s specifications – DEP, ADNOC DGS, PDO, Aramco etc.</li><li>Foundation design (Open and Deep) using Mat3D/ Fdn 3D.</li><li>Experience in STAAD – Mandatory.</li><li>Knowledge of Seismic &amp; Wind calculation – Mandatory.</li><li>Knowledge of International codes viz. AISC/ACI/IBC/EN/GOST – Mandatory.</li><li>Basic exposure on Marine works, Material handling, Railway track &amp; Brownfield modification works will be an added advantage.</li></ul><p><br></p>Additional Information
