<strong><u>Description</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Key Stage 1 Teacher Role Profile</strong><p><br></p>Star International School, Al Twar is looking to recruit a well-qualified, strong, resilient, and innovative Key Stage 1 teacher to join our growing school in <strong>August 2023</strong>.<p><br></p>Star International School Al Twar and Al Qusais is a part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP). We positively engage with personal and professional development and school improvement.<p><br></p><strong><u>Key Stage 1 Teacher Key Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p>We are seeking to appoint a Key Stage 1 teacher to join our friendly, efficient, and successful team. The successful candidate will be required to teach a Year 1 or Year 2 class with full responsibility for all British curriculum subjects and pastoral care. The successful candidate will need to be positive, enthusiastic, and creative in their approach to our school vision<em>; ‘To develop Star members in the local and global community, who are able to lead themselves and others; through their love of independent learning and their compassion for humanity’.</em><p><br></p><strong><u>Skills, Qualifications, And Experience</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Relevant British teaching qualification: to teach Key Stage 1 (a bachelor’s degree and a recognized teaching qualification).</li><li> A minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience in a British primary school.</li><li> UK or a British Curriculum school overseas. </li><li> A good knowledge of the National Curriculum of England.</li><li> Excellent communication skills to lead by example, as well as collaborate with Key Stage leaders, Senior Management, and parents.</li><li> Be flexible and adaptable.</li><li> Can research new initiatives and implement them whilst evaluating current processes.</li><li> Have the ability to confidently utilize AFL strategies and a variety of tasks to enhance learning. </li><li> Be proficient in ICT and Seesaw. </li><li> Demonstrate leadership qualities and the willingness to deliver in-school inset.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>ISP Commitment to Safeguarding Principles </strong><p><br></p>ISP & Star International School, Twar & Qusais are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
