As a PR Account Executive for the company, you will have the opportunity to work with many global and leading sports and entertainment brands across the Middle East, supporting with their PR and helping to develop exciting communications campaigns. You’ll work closely with other members of the PR account team and help with project execution as part of cross-functional teams that could include PR/Comms.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Account Team in drafting media materials including press releases, media alerts, bios, speeches etc in Arabic
- Develop and demonstrate a solid understanding of PR principles and client strategy by contributing appropriate approaches and ideas for clients and projects
- Can lead on client correspondence (daily updates, activity reports, WIP reports, leading on client calls and providing updates)
- Monitor and log all relevant media coverage and share with client in a timely manner
- Support with research for new business proposals
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and apply them to improve campaign effectiveness
- Act as part of the on-the-ground comms team to support media management and amplification at all events where agency staff is needed
Requirements:
- Arabic speaking and ability to read and write in Arabic
- 1-3 years of experience in PR/ Communications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or relevant field
- Proven track record with strong Arabic media relations
- Strong media background and knowledge of the industry, with a strong interest in sports, entertainment and events
- Strong understanding of traditional media and knowledge of key members of the press (Arabic)
- Keep abreast of current affairs, industry issues and trends relating to clients and their markets
- Ability to draft content in both English & Arabic such as press releases, op-eds, features, bios etc.
- Self-starter, who is highly organised and a clear communicator
