Research in these sectors is enhanced by our research platforms of Robotics, AI and Data Science, Information and Communication Technologies, and Advanced Materials and Manufacturing as well as Fundamental Sciences.<br><br>Position Overview<br>KU is seeking a highly motivated atmospheric and combustion reaction systems and can propose the reaction pathways for the photo-oxidation of amines/imines or similar atmospheric reaction systems or reaction pathway for oxidation of model biofuel molecules by applying a Quantum Chemical Approach with advanced statistical rate theory. In our lab we use various kind of softwares ( Gaussian09/16, MolPro, CFour, MultiWell, MESMER, Polyrate/GaussRate, GaussView, Jmol, CYLview) to generate the Potential Energy Surface and predict the temperature and pressure dependent rate constants and branching ratios.<br>As part of the project, Postdoc will have access to state-of-the-art method and KU High Performance Computation Facilities at Unix Environment to generate the data. The PhD and Postdoc will will get an opportunity to work and collaborate with other well known scientist in this area.<br>As part of the project, the researcher will have access to state-of-the-art research equipment, high performance computing research at Khalifa University and Advance Material Chemistry Center at Khalifa University and facilities at the CENTER NAME (URL) and will get an opportunity to work alongside researchers and graduate students from various backgrounds as part of a wider team.<br><br>Position Requirements<br>- Initiate and lead FSU grant funded by Khalifa University, with specific emphasis on subjects related to chemistry, physics, Engineering atmospheric sciences.<br>- Carry out research and produces high quality publications, and build up internal and external collaboration.<br>- Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly<br>- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager
