Position Overview<br>KU is seeking a highly motivated Postdoc Fellow to work on a project related to secure unmanned traffic management system. Unmanned traffic management is an ecosystem that assures efficient, reliable, and safe operations of unmanned aerial vehicles through information exchange between relevant system agents. Core functions of UTM include registration, authorization, and remote identification. These tasks should be performed securely to prevent malicious attacks that threaten airspace and public safety. This project aims to develop, implement, and test a zero trust-based, secure, resilient, and autonomous system for drone-UTM interactions using state-of-the-art information and communication technologies. The candidate should work on developing secure UTM services including registration, authorization, and identification. Necessary protocols should be developed and tested in simulation and lab setups. For example, contingency situations should be clarified by executing protocols between a ground observer, the authority, and the operator. The real-time properties and security of such protocols is of highest priority.<br>Position Requirements<br>ยท PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related programs from a reputable university.<br>ยท Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly<br>ยท Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager
