<strong><u>The Division Of Science At New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) Seeks To Recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate, Starting September 1, 2023, To Work Under The Supervision Of Professor Pierre Youssef, On The Subjects Including (in No Particular Order)<br></u></strong><ul><li>Functional and concentration inequalities.</li><li>Mixing times of Markov chains.</li><li>Random matrix theory and spectrum of random graphs.</li><li>Mathematical aspects of machine learning (deep neural networks, reinforcement learning, feature selection, bias and fairness modeling, etc.)<br></li></ul>While excellent candidates with other research interest may be considered, priority will be given to candidates with experience in one or several of the above topics.<br><br>The probability group at New York University Abu Dhabi is rapidly growing with a weekly seminar in place. The research interests of the other faculty as well as the organized activities can be found on the Abu Dhabi Stochastics Group webpage.<br><br>The Post-Doctoral Associate will be appointed for a duration of two years.
