Job Description
We are looking for an innovative and experienced AI-Integrated Robotics Post-Doctoral Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, machine learning, and computer vision, with a focus on developing advanced robotic systems. You will be responsible for conducting research, developing cutting-edge robotic vision algorithms, and integrating state-of-the-art language models like GPT-4 to create human-like communication in robotic applications. Proficiency in ROS applications development is required, and experience with robotic arms, UGVs, and quadruped robots is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in a related field and a strong publication record in prestigious conferences such as ICRA, CoRL, and RSS.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research in AI-integrated robotics, focusing on novel approaches to solve complex problems in robotic systems.
Develop and implement advanced robotic vision algorithms to enhance the perception and understanding of the robot’s environment.
Integrate GPT-generated human-like communication capabilities in robotic applications, enabling more intuitive and natural interactions with humans.
Develop, test, and deploy ROS-based applications to control and monitor robotic systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize robotic systems, including robotic arms, UGVs, and quadruped robots.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferably with a strong publication record in prestigious conferences such as ICRA, CoRL, and RSS.
- Extensive experience in AI, machine learning, and computer vision algorithm development.
- Solid understanding of GPT-based language models and their integration in robotic applications.
- Proficiency in ROS application development and deployment, including experience with ROS-based robotic systems.
- Strong background in robotic systems, including robotic arms, UGVs, and quadruped robots.
- Experience with quadruped dogs is a plus. Excellent programming skills in Python, C++, or other relevant languages.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
